Uwharrie Run 6/8/13
Had a small run with some Queen City area T4R guys: [MENTION=65653]aha2988[/MENTION], [MENTION=47269]Darklight[/MENTION], and [MENTION=90132]ajohnson85[/MENTION]. We've recently received an exceptional amount of rainfall in the area and the conditions were interesting to say the least. Definitely nothing that any of us had ever dealt with at Uwharrie. The positives were that the conditions made for a very light crowd and kept the dust down to a minimum. The drawbacks were the mud of course and the fact the the all of the bridges had washed out prompting the group to stop and repair them. We were among the few that braved the conditions and it's absolutely the first time ever out that we actually saw more Toyota's than Jeeps. The muck made normally difficult climbs a "pray & shoot" type situation, and even terrain that you would normally not flinch at cause you to pucker since at any given moment the slop would wash out from under you and try to send you either into a bank or over a ledge. What a blast! Didn't take a lot of pictures, but here we go.
Meeting up at the Eldorado Outpost (still clean):
This was Bobby's first (of a few) stop for a trail noise troubleshoot:
Big ole' rock, so of course we had to jump on it and shoot pictures:
Lunch break (a little dirtier):
Linked up with these guys in an LC. Very nice ride and they happened to work for the same dealership I ordered my seat covers from (TRDSparks):
