Suspension going on Wednesday

So I had a good deal with Fox going but they cannot get anything made before I leave San Diego and head back to Orlando. Driving cross country with worn out stock suspension sucked. So I got hooked up through 4 Wheel Parts with 5100's adjustables light duty OME coils and 5100 rears with medium duty OME. We are going to set the fronts at 1.75 and the coil will had an inch so the front will be at 2.75 and the rear at 2".

Based on all that I have read in the forum, this setup should make me happy. Heck...getting new suspension alone makes me happy. I want firm but not stiff. The rear may be a little stiff but as long as the front isn't I'll be fine I think. May or may ot get new tires.......


Now I gotta deal with my sub....I blew it out....put a 8" Kenwood and the factory JBLamp doesn't power it well. Was thinking of buying a hi/low and an amp and unplugging it from the factory amp, using the new amp.....go that route......PAI

It's a start. Monroe's would have been a huge improvement over what I have now.

It's actually nice being in San Diego where the shops are at that know what they are talking about and doing as compared to Orlando. Not a knock, its just the Socal has more variety of off road than Florida does. But the style I want to get down the road is more setup for desert than trails. But I like the look.

I'll post the usual before and after pics. Nothing spectacular.....pretty boring probably but.....it'll make me feel better. lol

There really are no good/knowledgable off road shops in Florida. Atleast none that I have found. I order everything from the west coast

Yep which is why I am bummed about not getting Fox while I was here. I wanted to go up to Riverside and visit the Demello shop. Try to do that Thursday. I really wish I had the money to get everything done while I am here.

What difference new suspension makes! To recap I got OME 884 1" coils and 5100's set at .85 and OME 885 2" 5100's rear. Wheels stock 17" with 265/65 Nitto's that will be replaced with BFG TA's 275/70/17. The lift is taller and much better than I had expected. After doing this lift, I'm trying to figure out why people mess around with spacers and daystar lifts. Not a critic, just wondering because the cost to do this lift was relatively inexpensive. I need to take some better pictures than what I have taken and get on some level concrete to take measurements. Needless to say, it turned out way better than I thought it would. The ride is stiff but plush.

Looks great man, thanks for fixing the pics. This is the first thing I looked for this morning.

I also have wondered why people go with spacer lifts if it can just be done with the right spring. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks JB. The only thing I am considering is putting airbags in the rear springs for towing to keep the Runner level and not nose high. I still need to take measurements to see here the front and rear sits. I wanted level but under load it will be nose high.

I am in Utah right now and may take a side trip to Moab to get some "action" shots hahahahaaa.....we'll see. I want to make Denver at a reasonable time.

Also, did they recommend light front / medium rear? Or is that something you came across while researching. I won't be hauling / trailering but I'm trying to get my ride quality and height figured out before ordering for my 05 V8.

Thats a super good looking runner. How does everything feel so far? Also what did you use to black out your taillights?
