Suspension Install

Stuck CAPS

New member
Well, I am (hopefully (had to add, as it's been said before)) finally getting around to suspension install tomorrow, and I have a few last minute questions.

1. I'm just doing the fronts, because spring compressors are scary stuff. I'll have someone else do the rear. That being said, should I be fine just jacking up the front (onto jackstands, of course)?

2. Will I need a TQ wrench to bolt down the CO's? Or will I be fine just bolting them in tight & snug?

I think you have some things backwards. Rears don't need compressor. Fronts do if taking apart. If replacing with a new Fully assembled coil over you will be ok.

Rears need a compressor for the springs, do they not? Fronts are full coilovers. I'm not as... clueless as this post makes me sound :P I'm just wondering, really, on whether or not I need a TQ wrench. The first question was more of a "I've already typed all this, so why erase it?" situation.

I have had my rears in and out and in and out again...never used a compressor...just some wiggling and jiggling.

Well, it failed. All bolts were seized on the top mount. I guess I'm just going to have to get it installed.. So they can deal with this BS.
