suspension question before I buy

I'm about to buy some new shocks and springs cause mine are shot on my '99 SR5 2WD. After research, I want to go with the Bilstein 5100s all the way around with this kit:
Toyota Tacoma 6 Lug RCD/Bilstein 5100 Series Front Ride Height Adjustable 1995.5-2004 (pair front/rear)

I want to get OME 906 for the rear: Old Man Emu 2906 Rear Coil Set

And i have a friend that has some 4th gen 4wd Sport springs that I'll put up front.

My goal is to get a better ride and around 2" of lift with this. Will all of this work for what I want? Do I need to buy anything else?

I don't think the front 4th gen springs would work because of the different spring rates and diameter or something. To Run those socks from that kit you'll need to get some shock mount adapters.

You should probably stick to OME coils for the front too. I've never heard of anyone using 4th gen coils on a 3rd front.

do you remember studying the mathematics behind how a sping compresses in Calc II ?

Not all springs are interchangeable; each has its own compressed force rating etc.

The Tundra coils have been proven to work up front if you want to use a Toyota spring. I believe those are the best non-aftermarket choice. There are great aftermarket choices as well

You should be fine with your stock springs up front. When you assemble the struts just put the front perch on the top notch. The shock adapters are like the ones in the picture. The guys at downsouth I hear are pretty reasonable, you should call them and let them know you're buyingthe kit for a 4runner and maybe they can switch the shocks out for the correct fit for the 4runner just maybe .

Do like diggity said, just use your springs set to the top perch on the shock. The shock affects the smoothness of the ride the most.
