Suspension Re-do!

Hello all.

My current suspension setup is much too high (4.5") therefore I am looking for an alternative setup. I only have 2 requirements;

1. I must be able to clear 285/75-R16's
2. I must be able to keep my rear Tundra Bilstein 5100's

I am planning on Tundra Bilstein 5100's in the front.

I do not carry much if any weight in my 4Runner.

What coils would you suggest to give me an even lift?

Front is Toytec springs on Tacoma Bilstein 5100's top notch.

Rear is LC springs with Tundra Bilstein 5100's

Wait, why tundra shocks? Sounds like they'd be far more stiff than you need...

The Tundra Bilsteins are a pretty relaxed shock despite being for the Tundra, they're not harsh.

I want to switch to the Tundra 5100's, according to wheelers the Tacoma 5100's aren't valved correctly for the 4Runner.

I'll swap you rear springs. Your LC for my OME 891. They gave me about 3"

If you look on Toytecs site. The Taco's and 4runners are the exact same shock, both D558's. Your fronts need to be set on the lowest setting if you're using the Eibachs. I think you just stated it wrong since I was helping you before on your other thread. If you wanting to keep the fronts, then go with OME 890's. If you're going to add some weight then try the OME 891's.

^^^agreed^^^ I have the 3 perch 5100s with OME 883s and 890s out back, I am sitting at about 3" lift up front. I think the 5100s would be fine on the first perch with eibach coils. just my .02

Good to know. This would certainly be the least expensive way to go. Think I might just do this.

This makes the msot sense to me. Since you already have the eibach coils, id just drop the srtting on the shocks to the lowest, tbere are lost of people running this setup. And at the bottom setting youd be right at 3".

I think that's what I'm going to do. Should work out the best.

That I'm not sure about. I was warned prior to buying from Toytec that I shouldn't run them without the extra 200lbs in the rear. My 4runner is setup with 4runner 5100's on the lowest setting with Eibach coils. With the rear I'm running OME 891's since I have a sleeping platform that is usually fully loaded. It rides pretty nice, but I'd think the 891's would be pretty stiff without the extra weight.
