Suspension

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but i need new shocks and struts for my 2001 4Runner Limited 4WD with 217K miles. Since I was doing this I thought I would put a small lift on it and add a size larger tire. I have seen the YouTube Speedy Garage video using Old Man Emu 906 springs and Bilstein 5100's on the rear and '06 Tundra coils and Bilsteins on front. As I was looking to find these parts online I have found a Tundra kit with coil over fronts and rear shocks. I would only need to get the rear coils. It seems to be much cheaper, but I want to make sure it fits. Any suggestions?

Where did you find this kit? I'm in the same boat as you and have been shopping for a new suspension set up as well.

I found it on eBay motors. I searched for parts for a 2006 Tundra and found them there. The item number is 281115552280.

"These shocks are NOT designed to fit the 1996-2002 model Toyota 4-Runner. If attempting to install on a 4-Runner shocks will NOT fit without modification an there will be NO WARRANTY on the shocks."

I understand there is no modification necessary to the fronts...Except for taller coils, isolators and top plates. The rears need different bushings. I assume that this is just a CYA statement? Unless I have missed something in the millions of posts online about people using them on 3rd gens?
