Swapped DRL's with LEDS - now fast flashing

I have a 2006 4runner and I just replaced my DRLs with LEDs and now they flash fast like they are out...Apparantly the LEDs are too efficient so the flasher relay thinks they need to be replaced becyase they aren't drawing enough power.

It sounds like I need a LED flasher relay to fix the problem. Are there 2 relays - one for the flasher, and one for the DRL? I replaced my relay awhile back to add DRLs on and can't remember.

Do I need a LED DRL flasher relay or do I just need a LED flasher relay b/c the DRLs are separate? Thanks.

No there r not 2 relays. If u want to keep them in there u will need to use resistors. Thats so weird how these trucks have those drls. I have an 06 as well and dont have drls.

Thanks for the info! That's a good idea. Do you know how much resistance the stock bulbs require?

Mine didn't have any either but I added the DRL relay because I like how they look :D

DRL's are mandatory in Canada and probably a few other counties, that's why some have it and some don't. I wanted to get LED's as well but since they share the function of the signal light it's a bit more of a hassle to do it.
