swapping CV boots.

Well my stupid cv boot tore all the way around and is now in two pieces on my axle. The axle is still good as of now, and I already purchased the replacement boot. My question is, can anyone tell me how to change the boot? It is the Inner boot and I know how to pull the axle and all that, just not sure how to get the boot over the big knuckle on the end, or how to remove that knuckle. I searched for a write-up but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

The big knuckle on the end is held in place by the boot tiself. Once the axle is removed, just pull on it and it will pop out. After that you will have to remove a snap ring on the end of the axle, then take a plastic hammer and tap lightly on the tripod bearing while holding them with your hand to prevent them from poping out. Next step is to remove the boot and reverse steps to install the new one. You will also need special boot pliers to do this.
