swapping hoods

I know there are threads on this already i searched and just have a couple quick questions if you guys dont mind answering them

Ive got a 99 Limited silver 4X4. Want to go to a body shop and ask for a sport hood, all they do is swap them out and paint it pretty much, nothing else correct?

You have to get the hood battery swapped and programmed which could be a couple hundred bucks in labor.

Don't forget to top off your TRD fluid, or else the scoop won't work

Yeah, they'll fit. Find a certifit and buy the hood yourself. Only take it to the body shop to get it painted.

TRD fluid wasn't added till 2001, and even then only to the SR5. Sheesh, amateur

To the OP, the 99 limited was the only year to use a quad bolt mounting setup with side-load bearing rivets. Search for a hood accordingly.
