Sway away 1.5" or Toytec 2" rear coils?

I'm new to the forum as I just got my 2005 4runner in June. I knew before I bought it that I would need to lift it so now is the time.

My question is what rear coil springs would you all get, the sway away 1.5" or the toytec superflex 2"? Is it worth a little extra for the sway away's?

I plan to get the fox 2.0 coilovers and fox 2.0 rear shocks. I talked to fox and they told me that the coilovers could be adjusted up to 3" of lift up front, but I may stick with 2" to start and see how I like it (then probably move up haha).

I have King 2.0 front and rear. Originally I had Radflo for rear springs but they were way to stiff. I replaced them with the Superflexes last week and they match my King fronts great (ride wise). I went with the Superflexes based on a recommendation from a guy at Total Chaos Fabrication who owns a 4th gen and has them on his truck.

Just remember to get 3" of lift you'll be maxing those coil overs and you'll need to get aftermarket UCAs. I recommend anything but light racing arms. But I have fox resi 2.0 rear shocks with toytec 2" springs. I like the height. The ride at times is a bit harsh but under speed and rough terrain it smooths out. It does flex well though under articulation. I do recommend installing Daystar spacer under drive side from the get go to save you work later when it sags.

What size tires are you running with that set up? Im probably going to go 265/75/16 duratracs. I'll also have spidertraxx spacers.

Why wouldnt you recommend the light racing UCAs? I haven't heard any complaints from anyone so far, granted I havent researched them much just because id like to stay away from upgrading the UCAs for now.

Well you need to do a little more reading about the LR's. You will find pictures of cracked welds, failing bushing, multiple revisions of parts (that still fail).. It's all up to you. Lots of people love the LR's. After having them fail on my other vehicle LR won't get any additional business from me! I'll gladly pay more for a better quality product.

Hey! I'm new to using forum. Forgive me if this is posted incorrectly. I noticed you were wrestling with a couple questions that I currently have. I have 03 Sport Edition v8 2wd. Started out looking simply to level my front. I unfortunately went with Rancho's quick lift setup (hold the laughter please). So I dont have adjustability but I did get to take my wife out to dinner a few times with the money I saved :/ I'm debating between the Sway Away 1.5" or the ironman4x4 1.1" with the higher spring ratio for the rear coils. Don't know which height would matchup better with the Rancho's fronts. My current hub to fender in front is now 22 3/8". I really want a level ride. What did you set your coil-overs to achieve your current stance? Any suggestions? Thanks for ANY help in advance.

I did the SAWs and I like the ride, mind you I had RAS prior to install. With the SAWs the rear is now sitting at 37.75" on stock 265/65/17s and 23" to center of hub.

I did ICON 2.5 extended travel up front and they setup between 2.25" to 2.5" which left the truck with about 3/4" of rake.

As LTDSC said, if you max out the front at 3", you'll need UCAs that can compensate for that much height.

I have the SAW 1.5 springs on my 5th gen and I think it rides great. Ended up with a little over 2" of lift from them and they handle extra weight when loaded much better than the OEM springs.

I just run FJ coils with 1.5" daystar spacers on my 4th gen and it feels a little harsh to me at times. I'm looking to change them out with MT's long travel system in the future though.
