weeellllllllllll, he said his clunk is gone, guess i assumed the fit was ok/perfect for the clunk to be gone. anyway guess i will wait for you to confirm the fitting of the 29mm, before pulling the trigger on mine

His truck is 4WD. My bar is 29". I have ordered the 29" bushings. I will compare them, and I'm no expert, but I would think it's important in the long run to install the proper part.
After seeing how they go on I'm sure the 29 will be fine, just tighter. Mine are tight especially after having tightened the brackets. Also FWIW, I did measure mine with calipers before ordering. I'm not sure a 29 would have made anything better or worse but I did measure my bar in 2 spots before ordering and got 30mm both times.

Come Spring, I plan to go ahead and do the bushing upgrade when I take care of my cv axle and swap out springs/shocks. I've crossed my eyes reading multiple pages and I don't "think" this has been asked but has anyone tried using the new Prothane 19-1218 with the 90 degree grease fitting? As far as I can tell it seems to be exactly like the 19-1186 but with 90 degree fitting. Am I wrong? I sent a message tonight to Prothane to verify. Are there any other minor suspension things I should look at replacing at 155K miles on my '03 V8 when I do this? I'm not lifting enough for extended end links or new UCA's or anything. My brake pads are wearing evenly so I don't suspect caliper issues so I'm just changing out pads and rotors. There's no visible grease coming from anywhere except my inner CV boot. I plan to grease U joints/slip yoke, blah, blah. Just making sure I shouldn't be thinking of something else on top of what I'm doing.

Just got an email from Anais in customer service at ProthaneSuspensionParts.com.
For anyone that's interested, the Prothane 19-1186 bushing and 19-1218 bushing are identical. The 19-1218 just has 90 degree fittings instead of straight.

Another quick update as I just corresponded with Prothane a bit more. If you're wanting to replace your grease fittings with 45 or 90 degree, they are 1/4-28 in size.

so i finally replaced my front swaybar bushings, and in the process, i made 2 observations.
1. 30 was written on the oem/old bushings on my truck, i take this to imply 30mm
2. i pulled or squeezed the edge/lip of the old bushing before i removed it, and there was play, ie i could squish it a bit to 1 side, when i installed the replacement bushing, i was not able to squish/bend the upper lip.
my clunk is gone now, saved some coins...this was after a mechanic misdiagnosed and said my front shocks were shot
finally: the front passenger side was easy to remove without jacking up the vehicle, but the driver side required jacking up the frame a bit, i wonder why.
anybody knows?..or had this experience?

I just upgraded my front sway bar bushings from NAPA https://www.napaonline.com/napa/en/p/NCZ2652636/NCZ2652636_0276505775
They're blue and looks to be some sort of an urethane product so some lithium grease was applies before installation. This is a 30mm bushing so it's a plug n play. Hopefully this will reduce some of the clonks coming from the front.

Hi all. Just to follow up on this, I plan to replace front/rear bushings but need to confirm part number and/or sizing for rear. 2007 2wd V6 4runner. Purchased MOOG blue thermoplastic bushings for front (Moog K80820 ).
1. Any part # or size confirmation for rear sway bar bushings ?
2. Did replacing either the front or rear make the most difference ?
3. Did the ride quality become more stiff or harsh after installation ?

I replaced a lot of suspension parts when I replaced the front and rear bushings. The rear bushings are different depending on engine size, I believe. The info in this thread is correct and I cited my size in a earlier post. My ride isn't harsh at all. It's tight and responsive, but there's lots of new parts involved.
