Switch Pro 9100, Pink trigger wire

Hello Gents,

Anyone utilize the pink trigger wire of Switch pro 9100?

Here is the description of the Pink trigger wire:
I am guessing that this is best to be tapped to the high beam signal.
I am aiming to tap on the fuse box located at the driver side under the steering wheel.

For Trigger 1, PINK wire:
Connect the Pink wire to an external trigger, it can be a high beam signal, reverse light signal, or a dome light signal to give a few examples.

For example, if connected to the high beam signal, when turning on the high
beams on the vehicle, up to 4 outputs of the switch panel will also turn on.

Any advice and recommendation is welcome.

Thank you for the information! This give me a positive hope, it looks like all I need to do is to find the correct high beam wire to tap on.
I am planning to have my Baja front bumper light bar, roof light bar and reverse light triggered on high beam.

Did you loose the on/off functionality of switch pro switch #7?

I am guessing not, because according to their manual, it looks like its SW7 is used to "program" this trigger function. And its original function as on/off switch is not affected:

The function can be turned on and off, with the switch panel to switch between off-road and street driving, by holding down the programming switch and pressing switch 7.

On the switch panel, hold the programming button and press switch 7. The programming led will flash 3 times, indicating the function is on. To turn the function off, press and hold the programming switch and press switch 7. The programming led will flash once, indicating the function has been turned off.
 
I thought about the high beams for lights, but decided not to.

The reality is that if you want the lights on the button push on the control pad takes 0.5 seconds.

And the downside is that if your car lights up with all sorts of non-street-legal lights when you put high beams on, you can never use your high beams again in a "normal" setting, which seems like a problematic compromise.

So I curled up the pink wire and zip-tied it below the Switch-Pro in case I wanted to use it later.

The "rock light" use case is interesting, but I never put on rock lights because I couldn't figure out a good path for wiring. [MENTION=148700]srsrogerissrs[/MENTION] any pictures of how you ran the wire under the car?

It’s a convenience switch… you can make it do whatever you want. You can connect it to a trigger like in their example, or you can connect it to a manual switch.

I installed one for a friend and we called it “air up” mode. A regular mechanical toggle switch was located in the rear by the hatch. When on, it turned on the air compress, rock rights, roof/work lights, and force combines both starter and aux battery since the roof lights are powered by the 2nd battery.

I have them going along the frame zip tied out of the way of contacting anything hot or being crushed. It comes up along the driver side fender to where my switchpro is.

You don't lose any functionality of on/off, I'm not quite too sure what you're talking about the specific switch #7. For what it's worth, I find it easier to program the switches via the bluetooth app versus using the panel. For the rock lights, the trigger will automatically turn the rock lights on and off.. and then I can control (on/off) them separately with the switch on the panel that I have it programmed to.

There is an option to turn on and off the trigger Sir, kinda street mode and off road mode, so you have the functionality to use your high beam on the street without blasting all your baja light bars.

Yes I figured that SW7 is only for manual programming and you are correct, it is easier to program using the app.

Manual switch seems to be a good option.

What type of switch did you use sir?
Switch Pro Pink wire go to Positive of the manual switch?
How about the Negative & Ground of the switch?
 
Does anyone know how to wire this into a Compustar alarm?
Sure be nice to light up the shit rats as there running away, or possibly disorient there night vision.

Edit: Contacted the Compustar service shop and they said it can be done. Think this might be next.

Polarity does not matter on switches... On the SwitchPro you can either pull 12v to ground or vice versa, the device allows setup both ways and is determined by the application or installer preference.

Just to be clear, I only need to tap the pink trigger wire. What is not clear for me is how to use a switch for it:

Would you mind elaborating your option?

1 Pink Wire from Switch Pro (positive)✔️
2 Negative ❓

I don’t know what type of switch you have or how its configured... it could be on/on, on/off/on, on/momentary, or 3rd pin could be for an internal LED… you should use a multimeter to check continuity and function between the 3 poles and use the two that you want. If it is a pin for a light source it would measure as a diode. Note: Not all connections need to be used.

It’s been a while since I had to mess with it, and helped a friend with the wiring. Just make sure the pink trigger is setup correctly first in the software and make the connection. Normally you are feeding 12v into the SwitchPro from a source… if you want to take power from the switch pro and take that to ground I understand it can be done either way.
 
Hi there , new user here and can’t start a new thread. Hope I can piggyback off this one.

I am hoping to wire my pink trigger wire to my reverse, running flood lights on my roof rack. I often carry a bike rack and want to make sure there is visibility for pedestrians when I put the truck in reverse or just get better visibility in the dark due to tinted windows.

I was curious if anyone knows which wire is the reverse under the dash(near the fuses) to tap into or know of a good way to test it out.
