Switching '15 Trail Rails for '10-'13 Trail Rails...Hardware?

Hey guys - looking around the threads for switching trail rack rails, and I'm seeing some conflicting reports around needing to buy new hardware/rubber when switching. It appears you cannot just take the rail itself and switch rail for rail, as there is additional hardware necessary, but the bases are the same.

Can someone (preferably someone who has made this switch) contribute what they had to do?

I would assume it would be easiest to take the rubber and hardware from the '10-'13 and put it directly onto the '15 and vice-versa.

Any know for certain?

all hardware rails gaskets are interchangeable... the 10-13 TE rack is the only one that has a full length gasket and flathead torx bolts

So someone putting a '15 on a different truck would be able to utilize all of the same OEM hardware/gaskets, but someone putting a '10-'13 on a newer truck would need to purchase the full length gasket/have it included with shipment if trading?

Haven't taken off my front endcaps, but are those torx bolts black underneath, and the same mount points? I know they are exposed on the '10-'13 and not on the '15, just uncertain if they are the same bolts.

10-13 Trail Edition rack yes... 10-13 SR5 or Limited... no. The only rack with torx is the 10-13 TE rack and yes they are black. All others are stainless Hexhead bolts
