switching from duratracs to km2's?

Just wanted to see if anyone has ran both tires to see what your thoughts were. Have the chance to possibly change tires and wanted to run the km2 but if its going to wear faster andride worse than the duratracs, iI will probably just pass.

I haven't, but from what I've read, you can expect a worse on road ride, worse handling in snow, and worse mpg with the km2's.

Expect to get less miles because the KM2 is a much more aggressive tire, depending on what you value more will help you make your decision. Trail performance of an MT (KM2) or an all weather, all terrain (Duratrac). Both are great tires but very different.

So far I really like the duratracs. They're good in the rain and snow and are fairly quiet on the road. They do run a tad small so I figured if I was going to buy new tires, I'd check out some options. Problem is, there aren't a whole lot of options in the 16" flavor in a 35" tire. Everyone says the mud grapplers are loud and the mtrs definitely aren't an every day driving type of tire. Any ideas what else to look at?

Check out the Mickey Thompson MTZ, Hankook Dynapro MT, Dick Cepek as well as Mickey Thompson just released a couple new all terrains that are pretty aggressive like a Duratrac. Not sure on their sizes though.
