T&H Low Bull bar lighting

I've had the T&H low bull bar for a couple of months now and I'm looking into getting lights for this but it looks like anything bigger than 2.5" won't fit. Anyone have this with lights? What kind of lights are you using? Would you recommend them?

I know the feeling. I'm still looking for lights to put in there. If you find something let everyone know. Good luck.
 
i've seen a guy in the chicago area with those big round ones mounted (off-road lights). he just mounted them upside down on the lower bar. it looks nice. just a suggestion, but noone seems to like mounting them upside down. i wish i can get a picture for you all so that you can see there's no problem with mounting lights on this guard.
 
I put my lights bolted directly on top of my front bumper. No need for a light bar. They are Lightforce. This morning I ran the yellow lenses due to the fog. The clears are too bright to have on in traffic.

I would post a pix but I am not that sharp on a computer. I guess could send an e-mail with a photo if needed.

I just bought a set of Hella FF75 driving lights for $37 shipped on ebay. Those and PIAA 2100XT are the only ones that seems to fit in between the bull bar. I wasn't sure I wanted driving lights or fog lights (light patterns are different). I was thinking fog lights might be better because they spread 90° opposed to the 15° driving lights but the driving lights reach much further.

I should get them in a week or so and will report back with pics.
 
I'd like to see those installed as well. I wonder if they come in chrome. I don't think black housing would like right on a stainless steel bar.
 
I just got an e-mail from the seller and he gave me a tracking #. Should be here tomorrow.

If you guys are going to the NJ meet this weekend, I'll have them with me if I don't have time to mount them. I don't see why it would take more than an hour to install.

I usually get packages signed by a neighbor but no one was around so it's scheduled for a 2nd attempt today.

I'll definitely have pics up when it's installed but looking at the weather reports, I don't think I want to work on the lights in 20 deg weather :(.

:biggrin2: No, I'm just kidding. Thanks for the update and I look forward to seeing and reading how they turn out. I may just have to copy you. At that price, if you like them, then I'm sold. I'm really hoping they don't stick out beyond the front of the bar at all......and that they aren't recessed in too far either.

Did you consider any of the lights that had multiple light options in one unit........or were those too big.....or cheesy....or not as high-quality?

Looks like I might have to modify the mounts to fit. The lights themselves would fit but the bracket lifts it up a little and it might not fit.

I will. There are still several people selling these on ebay, so I am really anxious to hear the verdict. Based on the pics so far I really like them. Hopefully they will fit without too much hassle. BTW, I think you made the right choice with the driving lights vs. fog lights. I was struggling with this too. It would have been cool to put in yellow bulbs, so that you could have yellow or white fogs, but ultimately I think I'd prefer more driving light.

Lazy you say? It was 9 deg F last night! It warmed up to about 24F tonight. These suckers aren't getting installed any time soon :p.

I did go shopping at Radio Shack for a new switch though. I might have to just use the one that came with it.
 
Just wondering what the red light is below the vent?

I put both my forward facing lights and side lights in the center spots next to the DAC button. I found it easyer to turn the on and off. On my old rig I had them on the dash and had to reach forward.

I did put my back up light switch in that location (to the right of the center diff button). I don't have to use that as much so I kind of put it out of the way. That spot was super easy to get to.

The red LED is for my alarm. Thats a good idea to put the switch in the center console, i figured i would put it next to the steering wheel due to how easy it is to get there, I didnt feel like fishing wire all the way to the center console but its definitely a great idea
