The T1815 is the stock head unit out of a 2011 Scion FYI. Does anyone have any familiarity with this?

Were you asking about compatibility to a specific year model 4Runner? I used to have a Scion tC, but it was an '07. I had the Pioneer base system for that year model, the Pioneer upgraded head unit and then the Scion Navigation System by Alpine.

To answer my own question: It is almost plug and play. As with most of the latest generation Scion HU's I had to do the resistor mod in order for the aux to work properly. I will probably do the USB mod or get an iPod cable off of eBay whenever the price drops.

Did you get any pics of your install? I'm looking at one of these now too. Trying to decide between this and the T1808.

I think the T1814 and T1815 are similar models, they look identical but I couldn't find anything to explain the differences. They should both be plug and play except for the Aux cable which will be different then the other units.

I picked up a T1815 from a guy n Stafford. It came out of a 2011 Tc. I might get the one in Rockville. It would be for my dads 2003 4runner. I am going to try the usb mod. I think I am going to end up putting the T1808 in my wifes highlander if nobody buys it from me. God bless her. She has been real patient while I nerded out over wiring diagrams all weekend.
The T1815 is nice for me because everything is on one knob. And that knob is large and easier to reach with my short arms. I'm no T Rex but I always found the stock headunit just out of comfortable reach.
The menu on the T1815 is pretty nice. You can scroll through the adjustments pretty fluidly. And it is highly adjustable for a radio intended for the masses. The sub input and subwoofer control from the headunit is a nice touch also. I just want to get the usb finished up. I am a little Leary about soldering to a circuit board.

The T1814 and T1815 are identical. Looks like Scion keeps the same radio for 2 years and seems to just change the model number and maybe the firmware. This seems true for their premium Alpine GPS unit too. The T1815s are from 2011 Scions so they are the newest...they all have manufacturer dates on the back as well.
Don't forget that you can change the display color and the verbage on the splash screen from 'SCION' to anything you want. Check elsewhere for instructions.
