T4R GPS as external receiver for iPad

Is it possible to use the nav system, via BT connection, as an external GPS receiver for an iPad instead of a dedicated device such as the Garmin GLO or Bad Elf Pro? I'm assuming the nav software isn't configured to share that data but perhaps one of the mad scientists here have poked around and found a way.

I'm pretty sure the iPad has it's own GPS built in.

Ah, yes I should have clarified, I'm using a wifi only model iPad.

The cellular iPad does have a GPS sensor in it and it works pretty darn well actually.

OP, I HIGHLY doubt it's possible to do what you're wanting. You should just get a BT GPS sensor.

Look into a a company named Dual. They make GPS receivers that link with iPads and cost is around $90. My friend had one that works amazing.

I have a Dual SkyPro XGPS160 on a velcro tab on my dash next to the clock buttons. I use it for my tablet and cell phone (much more accurate) in the truck as well as when I'm flying. Great accuracy, quick boot up, reliable and significantly cheaper than much else out there! Reviews from others say that the models without the Russian GLONASS aren't quite as accurate or as quick.
