T4R Outing -- The Cove -- November 2-4, 2018

I’m gonna try to make it up there for the day tomorrow, I’ll have my girls with me and they’re not really into bouncing around in the truck all day. I won’t be there early..
is there a freq everyone is on?

it wasn't anyone who was there this weekend LOL just another random T4R...

That being said, what a freaking absolute blast this weekend was!!! It was wonderful to put faces with names and meet a number of new people. To those involved with saving (salvaging) our cheapo awning that decided to wreck our camp while we were on the trail, thank you again!

To all the "green" group people from Saturday, it was a great time wheeling with all of you, many thanks to our group leader, John (one green taco), for spotting me through a lot of stuff that I didn't think a completely stock truck (except for tires) could possibly make it through. While I got a few various bits of trail rash (shout out to every other T4R in our group that got the nearly identical rear bumper "kiss" from the creek crossing) and some pinstripes that will most likely buff right out, I can say that we conquered not only greens but a few blues, and only turned around once at the start when our first trail disappeared.

I'm genuinely looking forward to this event next year... and I'll be better equipped with armor by then; and hopefully a better awning!

This is what I love to hear! John really knows his way around and was a perfect choice for the green guide since he could put you all down trails that were no problem for the trucks and just hard enough for the driver to really give you the bug.

Looking forward to seeing you out there next year!

Seriously, lots of fun. Quite proud of what the group wheeled through. Needless to say, some of those green routes are very blue now, and some may even be really dark blue.

I also had a great tail gunner keeping up with everyone in the middle and keeping me updated.

Best part was just seeing the progress made in 4 hours or so. Lines got better, driving technique and throttle control got smoother....and the best quote, rocks started looking a lot smaller.

:lookout: Yep, the free samples definitely worked... Not only in the wheeling department, but I was pretty much sold on one of those bluetooth CB mic's as well lol

I mean, she's used to hiking everything in the past, now there's a vehicle involved as well... She's ready for the next trip already lol :cool:

Indeed it did! Made coffee and two rounds of breakfast Sunday morning without an issue! The arm/pipe was a bit funky before (came out of the box like that), so maybe getting taken out just bent it back to normal? :lol:
