T4R Outing -- The Cove -- November 2-4, 2018

You'd be surprised what a stock truck can do! Last year [MENTION=137555]Sleeter[/MENTION] headed up a group with a stock Trail Edition [MENTION=147513]gibburnz[/MENTION] and he did great! Only the very last leg of the day he pulled off with a couple others and went back to camp.

[MENTION=124959]Runn4est[/MENTION] My rig hasn't changed much since last year and I still plan on coming. Added some Rago sliders and would love to get skid plates and tires before this trip, but we'll see. Regardless, this trip was a blast and I'm coming back for this trip.

got invited to a day trip...couldnt make it...but as a result found this thread.

unless it gets rained out, I'll have to coach my daughters soccer game, so wouldnt be able to get up there until early afternoon saturday but schools are out Monday and Tuesday so good to go through Monday...just need to be back in time to vote.

I assume this is a kid friendly (9 year old girl) event? If not thats ok, I'll just have to skip since I have my daughter that weekend.

Definitely kid friendly event. We're all highly responsible adults...haha, but seriously, I may havey 3 year old and 6 month old (in a pop up, not a tent!). This forum post is the official thread, so if you respond here, you're good to go.

Besides driving my dads pickup around the farm when I was 10 and spending my summers in maine....annnd....one time at GWNF in a friends jeep for like 30 mintues...I've never actually been wheelin as the driver...so definitely looking for you highly responsible adults to help me out

I do have a pretty firm grasp on physics though

Sorry I have been MIA florence really shook things up at work. I am here though. Cant wait to see yall again. If you have any questions you can post up on this thread or on the facebook group. As some of you know Runner4east has been helping me but there has also been some other people that have joined in to make this a great event as always.

I am hoping that yall will enjoy this just as much as previous years.

GT Peace will be there, sadly shawns 3rd gen has been released back in to the wild. So I will once again be riding shotgun with someone. But not having a 4 runner hasn’t stopped me from attending every single year.

And being someone who’s gone every year I can %100 Guarantee you will have a blast whether you have a SAS 4th gen or a bonestock brand new limited 4 runner. If your truck is stock there are trails you can do to begin learning your truck or just be safe. If you don’t wanna wheel your baby, there are usually plenty of open seats and kind people. Infact going to this event with a stock truck is recommended if you plan on modifying your truck. You will get to see many different suspension, armor, utilities and get first hand feedback on all of it, ask people to go for a ride if your considering the same suspension. We like showing off our trucks!!!!

I’ve never been, but from what I have read from past trips it’s a great chance to meetup with others and do what you’re comfortable with, or push your limits.
I’m not all armored up but am happy to open up my passenger seat to whoever wants a ride. We may, or may not turn around at any given point. But it will be fun!

We are in the midst of moving... a billion projects... school.... work.... but.... we have decided we could use the Cove weekend to recharge (plus John told us we're going since he missed last year).... so even though I start scool 2 weeks prior..... myself and [MENTION=132027]OneGreenTaco[/MENTION] are coming! We're also bringing some friends with a rad Dodge Ram Rebel (this truck is way cool)... no wheeling it though. We'll come in on Friday morning, and probably stay through Sunday night and leave monday... best trail day is always Sunday afternoon for us, when everyone is gone. :bravo:
