On the 10th, TRDCal will add a poll to this thread with the five 4runners with the most nominations and admin will put the poll in the sidebar.

edit - Also brock (and other guys who may have misinterpreted my post) I wasn't saying you can't, or shouldn't, nominate yourself (or that any of those who did don't deserve nomination) just that I found it odd that so many nominated themselves this time around.

I had the same thought, Gaterose--I thought it was odd when even one would nominate himself, but when a number of members did it, it REALLY was strange. To me, it's kinda like a high school girl nominating herself for homecoming queen (LOL).

I'm pretty sure that this was just a misunderstanding on how the nomination process works and once one did it others just followed suit. But as usual the non 5th gen'rs will jump on any opportunity to bash the 5th's, so sad! Back to your own section now...to toil in envy :wink2:

And I pulled my nomination of myself and nominated Intruder after I realized what the normal protocol is. I don't understand why people still feel the need to trash talk about it. I ****ed up, I fixed it, move on.

JUST TO CLARIFY: Every member gets ONE nomination. Whether it be a self nomination, seconding someone elses nomination it doesn't matter, main point is you only get ONE.

I don't think gaterose and BucknutBob meant to come off negatively. I think they're just pointing out that normally we'd average 1 self-nomination per month were as this month we have more. For the record, I think its GREAT, better to have a month with lots of nominations that one with barely any! *cough* kinda like last month *cough*

Your self-nomination is fine so will go with it, same goes for the other self-nominations, therefore your Intruder nomination will be ignored.

Second jonseyyy and jangoforhire's rigs. Love both trucks. Enjoy trading mods with all the 5th gen'rs, even Antman's so called questionably legal mods. :nerd:

Also I second SoCal and Phillys nomination. Two of my favorites!

Here as well, since you only get one nomination I'll use the one that comes first (SoCal).

If I missed anymore multiple nomination etc. the same will apply. Just wanted to straighten those things out before putting up the poll.

We need more action shots... I cannot make a vote based on a 4runner in a parking lot or a FLAT dirt road. There was one pic in the main page that had a 4runner going up a climb with all lights on. That was a good pic but I know that others wheel their runners too. Whoever gets my vote is the one that actually wheels their runner the most. It doesn't have to be the most built, but who actually goes out and gets away from the mall with their rigs?

Every single one of them does.

Philly even took his (then) completely stock Limited offroad as soon as he purchased it- running boards, 20" wheels and all.

Gonna be a tough decision again.. That would've given me an out.

Someone tell joneseyyy to throw together a build or post some sort of link to a trip report so those of us who don't frequent the 5th forum have some info and pics.

One last thing - I gotta agree with SV_Dude, where are the off road pics? I know I've seen pics of these trucks off road so why are the nomination pics all clean pics? Weren't half of you at the FJ summit? I know Antman was... Let's see those pics.

That's why you had my vote last month. You weren't the only one with an offroad pic but you had the best offroad pic.

I also like to see things built yourself, not bought. IE: Build your own bumper, sliders, etc.

Roger that on both of these points. Thats why SOcaltrail got my vote. Off road shots in his build thread and he has some mad fab skills.

I do like socalTRAIL's runner. It's a bad @$$ runner! But I personally don't like him because he has cool tools that I cannot afford and fab skills that I do not have myself :flipoff:
