Sorry for getting late to this poll.

As a sponsor to this forum, I would like to give away a prize to one of our 5 contestants. I have been debating in doing this every month. I have not had the time to contact any other sponsors to see if they wanted to contribute as well.

This month, High Tech Auto and Truck will be giving a set of RIGID INDUSTRIES DUALLY FLOOD LIGHTS!!!

Here's the little kicker for this month...

The person who comes in LAST will win these. There are a lot of great builds here and I feel that High Tech would like to support the guy who could use a little 'more' for his/her build.

GOOD LUCK in coming in LAST!!!

Very classy Duc! I just liked your facebook page and will definitely give you my business down the road!

Agreed, I literally joined this forum just to vote in this poll. I am the consummate forum lurker but wow that is a sick rig Socaltrail.

All the set ups are nice and I'd be proud to drive any of them. Having said that and being a guy who prefers to do my own work; and grew up with a dad who constantly said, "any idiot can do it with money" I cannot even count any of the competition in the same league.

Nothing but respect to all but I had to vote for the rig that is a true one of a kind and obviously has hundreds of hours of sweat equity and wrench time in it. When I get my money situation in order I will be going the same route as Socaltrail, building everything I can and making my rig instead of ordering it out of a catalog.

Just my $.02

I agree. It's nice to see people "build" their trucks. But let's not separate each other because of money.

The way I see it, it takes money to learn those skills. Whether its a welding class, fabrication, technical school, etc. it also takes money to buy the equipment (tig/mig welders, metal workers, tube benders, and a host of other support equipment). Let's not forget the money it takes for using your own time.

Honestly, if Antman were in the running, he would have my vote, hands down. His truck may not 'look' the baddest a$$, but it's ALL of the little things he's pioneered for the rest of us. Taking the time to post them up with detailed write ups. And even doing half of it on a long lost t4r bretheren (Sp8ball).

Again, I'm not taking away from any of the contenders, because I like them all for different reasons. Regardless of how they were built or how often they've been wheeled.

Maybe if Antman won, he could get a new camera/or photographer(Brock)?

Seriously Ducmonsta, I wish I lived further east to visit your shop.

All the nominees will probably win eventually, some may take a few more months.

Next year at Summit it'll be an All-Star showdown.

Duc- I think next time I see you I'll just give you a man-hug. Very nice of you my friend!

I'm finally catching up after traveling but I totally agree!

It's almost a shame that different gens vote for other gens because without knowing the gen in detail one almost can't appreciate the many innovated mods. A simple picture just can't tell the story.

As for voting on who posts the best off road pic, well the only thing sadder than that is actively promoting ones truck to win.

Any that has taken the time to study Ant's truck and his many great mods understand its truly in a class by itself.

Edit - try and hug me and I WILL shoot you lol

You couldn't be more wrong. Each person casts their vote based on what they like the most about a certain rig. I like a 4runner that is taken off road. I don't care about a street rig with a lift and a bunch of lights. I'm not saying that any of these rigs are, but I appreciate someone who isn't afraid to get their runner dirty and risk damage in the pursuit of having fun in their 4runner regardless of year and cost of the vehicle. Driving a 4runner on a mellow dirt road is meaningless if a honda civic can follow suit. Driving a 4runner on a rocky trail or a rutted out dirt trail is another story that shows the capability of the rig and the driver.

Quit being such a girl! The only thing that this proves is that we have different opinions of what we think should be the 4runner of the month.

Ha! I think what you mean is that all different opinions are valid and should be expressed as long as they agree with you. You stated yours. Great. I stated mine, but for some reason I'm wrong and a girl. Brilliant use of logic.

But then again, I didn't nominate themselves, think another should win and have actively insulted many of the voters so maybe neither one of us is in a position to consider ourselves the most brilliant poster in this thread. :wink2:

Cheers!

Why is there so much hatred towards 5th gens from the other gens?? It just doesn't make sense.

what hate?

i dont see any hate, i love 5th gens... although some of the mods are questionable! hahaha

(cupholdings in the tailgate.... ghetto!)

It wasn't aimed specifically at you, it was just a general question concerning what, to me, seems to be obvious.

And the cup holder, yup may be ghetto but I bet it gets more use than say...a winch.
