Tacoma Fender flares faded

I have looked up both heat gun or trim paint/dye. The black fender flares need some attention. Which is the better method? I have been using Back to Black for the last year, but the gas tank fender is the bad one. Looks to come off easy enough, it is a white 4 dr PreRunner. thanks all
