tacoma trd front coils on 3rd gen struts

I have a set of Tacoma Trd progressive coils and was wondering if anyone has installed them on 3rd gen runner struts and if any lift will be gained? Will a longer strut provide lift or just travel? Or is the spring that gives it the lift? Any info would be awesome thanks
