Tail light is out

My driver taillight (not brake light) is out. I've tried replacing the bulbs and that didn't do the trick. I just replaced the cracked housing because water was getting in, so I'm assuming the wires need to be cut and spliced? I searched and didnt find much on the subject, does anyone know of a thread about this topic that can help or have any advice? Thanks

Get yourself a test light and determine if there's power getting to the light receptacle.

So I determined that the metal points in the socket are loose and are causing a bad connection but I can't find anyone who sells the taillight socket... Ive tried Advamce, Napa and Rock Auto... I guess I'll try a junk yard tomorrow
