OK, sorry another tailgate latch question lol. Here is what mine is doing. When I close it, it pulls the door down, then releases it again. So it humms once to close it, then humms again when it releases. So it never stays latched.
I have disconnected the battery, removed it and lubed it up, everything I could think of. So obviously the motor is working, there must be something in there that thinks the door is not latched so it releases it again. I looked inside it and there are a couple limit switches so maybe one of those is bad. I don't mind spending the money on a new switch but I just hope that will fix it. Is there any way to test the internals to check if it's working right? Or is it not worth it ... lol.
Any ideas or suggestions? thanks
