Tailgates a gonner

I need assistance in locating a tailgate for my 2003 v8. Its toast:crybaby: Try
Ill take any color I can find, my truck is black, but everything can be painted.
I have seen them for 350 range, but my salvage yards of course now that I need one, dont have any. I am in NW Ohio, getting one shipped from the 50 states is no big deal either.

It has a reall bad case of Rusting...from the inside out and its super brittle, to order a new one and get it painted is about 1k, if I find used one, its loads less.

I used to have a 3rd gen that I rebuilt from salvage. I got a lot of the parts from these guys USED TOYOTA PARTS | USED TOYOTA TRUCK PARTS | USED TOYOTA CAR PARTS | USED TOYOTA SUV PARTS. Its one of the largest recyclers in the US.

I used to have a 3rd gen that I rebuilt from salvage. I got a lot of the parts from these guys USED TOYOTA PARTS | USED TOYOTA TRUCK PARTS | USED TOYOTA CAR PARTS | USED TOYOTA SUV PARTS. Its one of the largest recyclers in the US.

Would you mind posting a few photos of the rust or explain exactly where it is? It could be helpful to us so we could monitor that area. I wonder what happened: drainholes plugged? Water leaking in behind the trim cover?

Well I bought the 4 runner used, and the gate is rusting from the inside out in two places, the largest concern area is right where your natural tendance for a right handed person is push on the gate when closing...about opisit assit strap to be exact. Mech said some one had let it fill with water...window down.
