Tampa Area Off Road Trip

You can bypass 70% of the park and never go over an obstacle and just drive on some dirt roads. The "back area" as I'll call it require you to go up 1 of 2 hill climbs. One is the rollercoaster which can be quite intimidating (i've only gone down it) and the other is a fairly straight forward climb but can be a bit sketchy if it's wet.

Basically, if you do want to go over it, you don't have to.

How come I wasn't mentioned?

Thats when my spring break starts so hopefully my parents will let me go. I really need to get it dirty

Im in Palm Harbor specifically and would prefer to meet up with some of you guys in Tampa because I have no clue where I'm going.

I just want to make sure that I won't have any problems on this course. I'm 4wd with E-locker and a 3 inch lift. Im just afraid of it being to difficul. However, since some of you are 2wd and going I probably shouldn't be worried should I?

Just a thought for those coming up from the south. We could meet up at the Pasco County Rest area on I-75. It's just north of SR 56 and is just over an hour from hard rock. Still gotta lock down what time everyone wants to get out there. I like to be out there early but I know not everyone's a morning person and some folks are coming from farther away than I am.

I'm game for meeting up at the rest area ( i was peeing) I'm still waiting to hear what time we are meeting up and if i should install the CB..
 
CBs would be nice but I'm not sure who all has them installed. I've gotta broken CB in the garage but it's not going to be installed in time.

It looks like hard rock opens up at 10. If we all meet up around 8:30 or 9 we should be able to be there right about the time they open. That's probably not too early for everyone.

Are we making a whole day of it? Just wondering if I need to pack a lunch or so in the cooler. Also, I don't know how it works with CB's, but I keep a few 2 way radios in my truck for when my brother and I go wheeling, so I'll have those.

I don't have a CB but was planning on trying to get some 2 mile walkie talkies before the trip ( 2 - 3 of them).

Group Meet UP
As far as a meet up for everyone I say we try to meet up at the Pilot Travel Center right off 75 at around 9:45am then head out at little after 10am. Giving everyone a chance to get some more fuel for the trails and maybe a snack. I will say I would like to ride as long as I can, everyone is free to come and go as they please. But more than likely I will be heading out around 5ish to be home at a decent hour.

The rest stop is 80 miles from the Pilot Travel Center. I am not sure about you guys but i try to keep my speed down (65-70mph). If we leave on time would put us there around 9:45.

Sounds good to me. I may try and get some others to join me but no garauntee with that.

Ill meet up at the rest stop or the travel center which ever is better for everyone else

Oh no, You will be missed little buddy! I say after this trip we do another meet and greet at 5 guys or Wing House ( just down the road from them) :hungry:. I think we would have an even larger turnout.
