What are we doing for lunch?

Never ever a bad idea to pack a cooler with water, snacks/meals and other refreshments. And if you're really cool you'll have an ARB or Engle fridge stocked with the good stuff. I'm too poor to have one of those as of yet.

Probably find a good place to pose for shots, or not, and munch down on some grub.
*If you're fortunate enough to be driving an auto, you can have one hand on the wheel and the other on a sandwich/burrito while you're wheeling. Kill 2 birds with one stone. I'm joking, I'm joking. Seriously, both hands on the wheel while wheeling.

Bring a small cooler, some drinks of choice (not sure if beer is allowed but i do not condone drinking and driving) , some snacks and maybe a brown bag lunch. You are more than welcome to leave and come back, we won't shun you too much. :gossip: I think there is a MD, Arbys, Wendys and a DQ all right by the interstate which is about 5 minutes from the park. I am however not sure if the $20 admission is an all day come as you go deal or not.

Recovery
One thing we have not discussed what what if any recovery gear we all have. The nice thing about the park is that there are going to be other people there besides us, so if we got into a reallllly sticky situation i am sure we could find some one. I have a tow strap and that is about it. I know [MENTION=80120]WastedAccount[/MENTION] has a winch. I will also be bringing some tools. Last time I went wheeling I brought my whole tool box, I am not going to do that this time. The rattling of everything drove me crazy! But I should have enough to at least change a cv if need be. Post up what you have so we can all know!

I'll have a 30ft recovery strap and a 10ft one. I'll also have all of my tools and such in the back of my Runner, and all of the batteries will be charged on them.

Regarding recovery:

If I'm able to go, I have a shovel (probably one of the most important recovery pieces that everyone can afford and should have when wheeling; also if nature calls have this along with some tp on hand), hi-lift (with accessories), tree strap, snatch-block, recovery (snatch) strap, shackels, hitch receiver shackle mount, and if I can get proper wiring by then I'll have a rear cradle mounted winch with me.

More importantly, a great first-aid kit. Last thing we want is not a vehicle recovery, but a person recovery. If I'm out there you can bet your sweet tuckus I'll be practicing safe wheeling and recovery; and I hope you all will too.

Don't forget about having trail spares with you. At the very least, when was the last time you checked the condition of your spare tire? Spare CV is also a popular item as it's the weak link in T4R ifs. Fluids for you and your truck. Tire patch (plug) kits are inexpensive, small, and GREAT to always have in the truck. A compressor is also great to have to reinflate a flat or aired-down tires.

As 4eigner said I am planning on going, I have limited recovery gear; a handful of various shackles, a tow strap, shovel, first aid kit, and some other odds and ends. I will be bringing my tool bag just in case though. My truck is mostly stock and the 'Ol Lady says I'm not allowed to take off the running boards till I can throw on some sliders so I may avoid a few obstacles.

I have ended up camping out in Ocala on a few occasions and am considering doing so on this trip, is anyone else interested? If I do camp for the night I will probably make a stop over at the Ocala Forrest Road 88 Rifle Range in the morning if anyone else is interested in joining.

Really looking forward to this and I'm excited Hard Rock is more adventurous then us all meeting up at "The Hard Rock" Cafe.

Where ever is fine by me. Seriously, my 'Ol Lady and I just drive around the old unmarked 4x4 sand trails till we go "That looks like a good spot". We have a place we return to often but it's a one truck spot, so ultimately wherever. My truck is my tent.

I was looking at the morning of the 30th (Monday) The weekends are usually slam packed but if you wanted to get there at sun up when it opens on the 29th and shoot for an hour then convoy over to the Pilot Station for the meet up I could probably manage that.

I do have a winch. I also have most of the other recovery gear you could need. I'll be meeting you guys there unless I run into anyway one at that the Pilot as I gas up before I get there. It will be myself and my step son and probably a dog. If anyone else is bringing kids we'll have an RC car or two with us for the boy to play with. Can't wait, see you guys there!
