But there's a couple flaws with that... A) The speed limit is just that, the maximum limit, not mandatory cruising speed.

B) In many states, 'keep right except to pass' and 'slower traffic keep right' is a courtesy, not a law, therefore not enforceable.

Then expect to be tailgated if you're holding up traffic in the left (passing) lane.

A-Holes that block traffic and refuse to move over should take out their frustrations or show their lack of class some other way. They clearly deserve whatever form of road rage that comes their way.

Not trying to weigh in on the whole brake check, road rage debate but I'm not the "A-hole" blocking traffic. I may be "slower" in the left (or any other) lane, even heading to the off ramp, due to traffic conditions where I'm travelling along at the same pace as everyone else. Next thing I know the obsessive lane hopper (usually some type of ricer kid) ends up bobbing around poking out from under my back bumper looking for a space to "get ahead". I don't dare touch the brakes (due to the potential consequences of slowing down.) I give them time to settle in but then I throw on the 4-way flasher for 3 or 4 cycles. Usually sends a clear signal and they back off. I don't care if I get flipped off later because I'm still on my schedule and not dealing with a mess some punk caused.

Let's see - if I brake check them at the exact moment they're distracted looking for the wiper stalk ......
