Taxi Cab Challenges a 4Runner

The realy sucky part is, I went to court on Monday. I did not recieve the ticket, but the bac driver did. The Judge said there was reasonable doubt and let the cab driver off. The Judge never looked at the police report and saw there were other witnesses.

But the good news is, my insurance company told me not to worry about it. The courts have their rulings and insurance company's have their own. So, it won't effect me.

As for the hurting of my neck LOL, well Toyota builds the 4Runner so well, we never even knew that we were hit.

Hi Scott,
First of all, thank God no one got hurt, did you feel safe in the 4runner when it happened? How long did it take to get your truck back from the repair shop? Is the 4runner running like before or you feel is not the same? I have the feeling that no matter how good the repair shop is, the car will never drive the same, correct me if I am wrong please. No matter how careful you are there is always somebody who is going to wreck your car. Good luck with your 4runner I hope you don't have any other accident. Take care.

Hey- Glad to see your 4 runner is back in one piece. I live in Cumming also. Where did you get it fixed at, and were you happy with them. The hardest thing for a body shop to do is the paint work. Replacing parts is pretty easy, its the paint that seems to always be screwed up. I had a 2002 M3 convertible, the dealer scratched it all the way down the side, they had to paint the whole side. They compensated me dearly for it, but it was never the same in my eyes. I sold it.

The 4Runer drives just as good as it did before. For some reason, it feels like it has more power, but that could be due to the fact I was driving a whimpy rental car. The only think wrong is the sunroof does not work. I figure it is a fuse that is blown, but I have to take it back to the dealer to fix a scratch they accidently made the day I picked up the car (very small scratch btw). I think the body shop was more upset than I was. But they did an awesome job and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The only complaint I have is I can not figure out how the heck I set the NAV unit to always point ^ whn I am driving. In other words, when I am going east, the arrow and road are going in the east direction < not ^.

It drives just as if she was new, so I am really happy. It felt like it was in the shop for years, but only 3 weeks.

Oh yeah, I had the car taken to North Atlanta Collision, which is owned by Roswell Toyota.

I would agree with 4Runner2003, I have had good luck with repair shops. Good ones take their time and can make it just right. Sometimes you can fix other things or as 4Runner2003 did, get a hood scoop. I had one car get hit three times in one year and I got to know a really good repair shop. The next year another car of mine got hit, this time while parked at a school. I always get parts made by the car company, sometimes on a old car I have to pay more. Good as new.

By the way, none of the wrecks were my fault, including the time a Gerogia State Patrol Officer hit me. It was just a bad year.
