TE with 3rd row seat?

Does anyone have a Trail Edition with the 3rd row seat or is it even an option? I'm looking to buy one in the next couple weeks and was set on the TE but not sure if I can get a 3rd row in one. If not should I just go with a SR5 with the KDSS suspension?

Third row was never an option on the TE. KDSS I'd not an option on SR5. Sounds like a little more research is at hand now.

Of course its good. You know when you need a "people hauler" (3rd row) then people get a mini van or something. That said, you cannot get KDSS on any 4Runner except the TE. You cannot get 3rd row on the TE but you can on the SR5 or LE models. Logically the answer is obvious. You get the SR5 or LE and change suspensions but both models do excellent off road and the LE comes with a really nice XREAS suspension too. Good luck!

If you want 3rd row with KDSS. Yes it is possible. It's called the GX460.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I wouldn't mind the 3rd row option in the TE, either. I've got 2 kids and when my brother and his wife, or the in-laws come on outings, it's nice having the 2 extra seats in the back (for the kids, not adults. Well, maybe the in-laws. :happy.

anything is possible if you have the money.

leather seats can be had if you go 3rd party, but your looking at 1500-3000.

kdss equivalent can be put on, but again its going to be 3rd party.

3rd row, I have seen someone put in a 3rd party rear facing bench, there is a post somewhere here but it was strictly kids only as you could only access thru the rear door.

and the pre-made version is the lexus gx460, but a brand new one will run in the 55-60k range or a used 1yr will run about 50-55, 2-3yr will run in the 45-50. that's assuming your going cpo, if you remove the cpo you could drop the price another 1-2k.

Not impressed with the 3rd row...

I just thought the third row took up too much space and wasn't that useful. But it's just 4 of us and when we have guests we borrow a friends minivan. They are more than happy to trade for a weekend.

You do lose significant cargo space but I am glad I have it when I need it.... I just use the roof cargo
