Tear in Door Panel - 2014 Interior

Was cleaning out the truck today and noticed there is a small tear in the drivers side passenger door panel. Not sure of the exact material used here but seems very soft compared to other cabin materials.

Looking to put a patch on this using some sort of hardener to keep it from growing. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance.

Ten dollars to a donut says that material is vinyl. They used to sell repair kits on TV because every piece of furniture was covered with it, but I don't know where you can get them now.

Good idea covering it with something though to keep it from growing.

Your dealer will have "a guy" that comes in once a week or so that fixes tears and burns in interiors for them. They all do. Check with them and see if you can leave the day they come through. Probably cost you 50.00 but it will look like it never happened.

i had the stitching come apart on mine for some reason or another and it was only like 1 or 2 months old. showed the dealer and they replaced the panel.

Have you looked into getting a replacement door panel? The reason I ask is because mine got damaged and the tow company that damaged it is going to pay for a new one. The dealership said my 4runner is too new, and that they don't make replacement door panels yet.

Has anyone had to replace their door panel?
