What is the technical term for the boards you use to put in front of your tires to use as tracks when you get stuck while off roading?

Is there really a technical term? I always just called them 2x4's or 2x6's since that's what I carry.

Yup, sand tracks. I guess technically those are the flexible ones, sand ladders or bridging ladders are probably more like what the OP is talking about.

Did you mean to bed that google search link in there? I have a home made set of these that I made out of ATV ramps and welded extra steel flat stock and gussets too.
