Techstream not seeing all ECUs

I just got TechStream to use with my 2005 4Runner Sport. When I do a Health Check it only sees 2 out of the 11 ECUs listed.

I'm thinking if it sees one, it should see them all, no?

Is this common? Any ideas on how to fix it?

I primarily want to use it for programming TPMS, so I'd like to be able to access that one, at a minimum.

Thank you!

typically that means that the ECU you are trying to access is not installed. You can click directly on the ecu to see if it pulls up that way.

I hope you wrote the TPMS registration numbers down before you installed the sensors, there is no way to recover that information with the tires installed and techstream requires you to enter the serials before allowing programming.

If the TPMS light is working, I'm guessing it's installed, no? Directly double-clicking on it doesn't make a duifference. Seems strange that 9 out of 11 ECUs aren't working.

Everything was fine until two sensors got destroyed when I got new tires (whole other infuriating story). I do have the new sensor numbers. Now if I only had a way to program them. :)

He could take it to a garage w/ a TPMS tool and pay them to scan the sensors directly. At that point it wouldn't be much more time to just flash the sensor data to the controller.

sometimes you just need to use the older version of the techstream software to read everything. try that first, i know alot of the ebay cables will give you a download link to the older software just in case the new one dont work right.
