Tell me what I need to know about a new HU with a JBL setup.

I've searched and looked, but haven't found much.

I'm getting an Error1 code on my factory JBL 6Disc HU in my 03.

I know that a bypass module is required for most aftermarked HUs to run my factory speakers.

Will an 06+ HU with the USB input plug and play? I know the dimensions are different.

I'm going to guess and say yes it will. I had an 04 JBL 6disc and went to an 07 JBL 6disc with no problems. Same connectors.

Since then I've gone to an aftermarket nav system. For that you will need a PAC device to integrate with your JBL amp and a PAC switch if you want to integrate your steering wheel controls.
