in the middle of my TVB job and using Tim's video as a reference. When installing the tensioner idler pulley, Tim installs a washer behind the pulley. My truck did not have this washer on the old idler, and a new one was not included. Anyone know what the thickness of the washer is>?

Just looked at the FSM, and it mentions a "plate washer" as part of the installation but on the diagram it has no mention of it. Is it attached to your idler pulley?

Last time I did water pump I cannot remember if there was a washer there or not.

Yes there is supposed to be a washer there. I lost that washer when I was doing the TB/WP job. I ended up using a grade 8 washer that was about the same thickness.

I have a donor engine I'm swapping in my truck apart right now and can measure the washer you are talking about later today. I have it apart right now and that washer is sitting on my bench.

Also, read this.

Perfect thanks!
I found a washer in my parts bin that looks to be a similar size ( diameter ). I put it in behind the pulley bolt and put everything together; it looks like the arm for the tensioner is sitting in the middle now.
I will measure the one I have when I get home, but I think it will work. Thanks again

Just did mine yesterday and if your not careful taking the old pulley out the washer will fall straight down. It's a pretty thick washer, maybe 1/16 thick.

Here you go, this is the Toyota washer specs.
