Test Drove a 2012 Trial tonight

Loved it except I noticed on the highway that the steering wheel was wobbling back and forth....almost like the tires were out of balance. Thoughts?

Either flat spotted from sitting, or out of balance. Either way, very easy fix, drive it further and/or have the dealership do a roadforce balance as a condition of sale.

Ya I told them to check it out. They are going to in morning. I didn't buy it (I would have if it wasn't for that).

I hope it's as eas as you say. I'm a little worried. I waited like a month for this trail to come in!

It's most likely the tires and the oem tires are not rated very good anyways and IMO that's an understatement. That was the first thing to change by alot of people including me.

I'd bet the dealer would be willing to swap to better tires to close the deal if you decide to buy it. If not then Discount Tire or some other tire stores give credit when trading in for new tires. They gave me $75 a piece credit and some got more.

It is, and the stock tires suck anyway.

I looked for months and ended up flying in to drive 1500 miles back to get exactly the one I wanted. I had already purchased new wheels and tires, before purchasing the vehicle.:lookout:

It turned out the tires were out of balance. The dealership confirmed it and balanced all 4 tires. So, I went back and test drove it. Problem solved! I'm now a proud owner of a 2012 Trail w/ KDSS!
