New member
Started this Memorial Day weekend off good by picking up a brand new set of Trail Gear 67" sliders for $100. The have a tiny bit of surface rust from some flooding, but easily taken care of. I wanted the 4xinnovations with a kickout, but for 100 and DOM I really can't complain.

Now I just have to save some money and find someone to weld these on for cheap. It shall be an unofficial race between me and Hepar to get our sliders on. :trophy::jk:

These will go nicely though with my Downey 3" rear coils, Tundra struts (I sold a set, then bought 881's, then realized I wanted Tundra struts so I bought another set.) This summer will be putting everything on and tires, rims and ball joints. Just need to wait for my mid year bonus and $5 raise to kick in July. :frog:

Anyone else have any recent craigslist finds?

On a side note, I asked my girlfriend if I can pick the sliders up and she asks "Are those the ugly things you want to put on your car?" My response, "Yes, but the ugly things are already on the 4runner (running boards)"

yeah i got some basically brand new sweet TRD package struts w/coils off a 2007 tundra with only 11k on them for $35... that dont fit!!!... :whipping2:bash::ybrick::crybaby::wtf::shrug:
 
Here is the Pic of them installed you asked about.
I think they are the best deal in sliders, especially since they are DOM tubing.

nice got mine for 90 bucks no rust !!
 
craigslist? o...thats the place i get 90% of my car stuff from. got rims, tires, roof rack, my hellas, brush guard, tail light guards, window visors, brand new OME front brake pads, hi lift, spacers.

best deal i probally gotten was 2 nitto terra grapplers 265/75/16 with about 80% tread and nothign wrong with them for 110 bucks. Also my 5 star limited rims for 150
 
Craigslist is fun. I just bought a set of 4 285/70/17 BFG KM2's for $200 on Monday or Tuesday or something, I forget

Bottom 2 are a bit worn, but for the price, I'm cool with that. I'll run the set, then watch CL til I find at least another two that are in better shape, then swap!
 
i bought my 4runner on craigslist, then got 06 tacoma wheels and tires ... then when the tires were bald, I bought 02 tacoma trd wheels with good duelers on them and sold my bald ones for the same price (free tires!).... also got another trd wheel as a spare ... plus all kinds of tools!
 
thats where i found my 4runner,
and both of my warn winches, got them both for less than half price and one was brand new, the box was just damaged.
ive found other great things like a new fully rebuilt front axle for my 85 pickup, with bobby long axle shafts, big break kit, warn premium manual locking hubs and brand new gears, bearing and seals, the whole 9 yards for $350, then i sold my stock one with busted hubs and all greasy with 256k miles and leaking like a mofo for the same price -so my new axle was free!!
oh and my 285s at like 75-80% all four for less than the cost of one new!

I bought my runner, the lift, tires, wheels, seats, headlights, husky liners, roof rack, bike trays, roof basket, front light mounting kit and PIAA's all on CL and now I am drooling over a 97 LC riding on 37's (for the wife of course!).

The best part of CL is buying something I want and selling something I didn't want and ending up spending next to nothing!! My wheels were 175 on cl sold my stockers for $200, bought a set of 285/75's w/wheels for 600 sold the wheels for 150, and the 265/75's I had for 350, bought my seats from a '99 for 125, sold my wore out seats for 100, and on and on!!

My wife thinks I am either addicted to CL or justifying all the money I spend on my runner, either way everybody's happy! I am going to go check CL real quick, c u l8r!!
 
I got my T4r off of craigslist. i looked for months to try and find "the one" i got my 96 t4r 4wd from a doctor who always serviced it at toyota, it only had 75k on it, i picked it up for 6850

They are the right length, but like T4R4Life said they don't have the kickout so it looks shorter. The 4xinnovations are 66 AFAIK.

Plus I am asking my girlfriend because she just caught me spending 125 on rear springs and I didn't want to start a fight.:whip2: Sliders are a little hard to hide and I got them as an early Father's day present.

On a side note, I talked with my neighbor and his friend is willing to weld them on for the cost of materials and some drinks. Score!:beer: Plus they are going to teach me how to weld as we do it, so I can start practicing.

Bought my bike off craigslist! got the hyrdo brakes for it off CL too. $250 for the bike: 05 Specialized FSR XC Comp
