Talking about the T fitting between the s/c housing and fuel pressure regulator for the boost gauge hose? Good question - I am looking for one now so I can replace my current broken hose.

has anyone experienced with e-Manage Ultimate for their supercharger? I'm in cali and I'd like to get some engine management installed, but URD 7th injector kit is considered illegal. Thoughts?

The AEM controller isn't CARB approved either. No fuel modifications to our engines are.

I just read an article on a new boost technology called a "variable-boost supercharger". Basically it moves air in a turbine like a turbo but it it powered by a pulley like a supercharger. The end result: Instant power on the low end like a supercharger and high end power with no waste like a turbo! Super interesting video and article!

TRD's supercharger made +75 HP but due to the added drag of a pulley that's knocked down to +63 HP from their brochures if my memory is any good. I'm assuming the newer Magnussen superchargers are the same but I don't know for sure. Same design though. This is measured at the crank, not the wheels.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing in order to install? I know the AIC is gone for the 7th injector. Anything else besides that?

Vacuum check valve for hose under throttle body
C.A.R.B. Sticker depending on location/smog laws
Fancy "cooler" spark plugs (optional, and I forget which ones specifically, I think IR22's (?) but someone on here can verify or dig back in this thread)

A copy of the manual to verify there's nothing else I'm forgetting...

I've been subscribed to this thread since back when I joined the forum. I was really sad to find out they no longer offer the SC after I had to let my 5th Gen go and went back to my 3rd gen which I may possibly love more. I've been watching ebay and CL locally and having trouble finding a SC that is worth the investment for my 4Runner. Is it even worth it now to try to find one and install or will it be completely a loss in futility?

I wanted one when I was looking for my 3rd Gen but the guy wanted over 10k and wouldn't budge. I asked for records and he had none to provide..

I'll keep looking but since I don't do any rock crawling or anything as such and most of my adventures are now overland or sand, I need the power. My last trip which I just got back from if I had a SC my snow section wouldn't have been so troublesome. Really struggled because I couldn't spin the tires to get them cleaned out fully..

It's a fairly simple install. I bet you could do it. If not a dealer should do it for not too much money.

Nice, saves me 500-600, still need the 7th Injector also from what I was reading. Checked URD's website and they aren't listing it for the 2000 4Runner.

The 7th injector is a bit more complicated. Less parts but you have to splice wiring if I recall. You don't NEED a 7th injector, sometimes just running 91+ octane will take care of all ping like in my case. However, it does make more power with the 7th.

Not sure this has been posted here, but since I kept failing my smog test in CA due to a mismatching E.O. sticker for my 2002 4Runner, I thought I would mention it:

The E.O. sticker for a 2001-2002 4Runner with a super charger IS different than the E.O. sticker for the earlier 3rd gen models.

The correct E.O. for the later 3rd gen models is D-425-15, which must be listed on the sticker, and the part number for the sticker itself is MDC# 00602-89020.

Some posters have said you can print off a document and show it to the shop for approval, I tried and it has never worked, but best of luck. The sticker was $1.09 at my dealership after tax.

Can I pay you $5-$10 to get me one please???????

I had some replacements made a while back... Came out pretty good. Downside is that they are not pre-cut.

Some helpful hints for those sourcing parts:

The fasteners are easily found on mcmaster.

For the IAC check valve, I found the following Toyota # is still available for about $8 and works: PTR29-60031 (dont forget it has to be oriented such that air can flow from TB to engine)

For the vacuum adapter tee (4WD), I used these. You can find them on ebay by searching "1/4" x 5/16" x 5/16" Hose ID Black HDPE Tee"

For evap canister to throttle cable clips, I used mcmaster #7429K45 (pic below).

Good to know, wouldn't be a problem with me as I was an electrician and build my own pc's so I could do that!!! =)
