here's the deal, i have a 3rd gen (2002), but i want one of those nifty 4th gen nav systems in it. i know it'll fit with a bit of trimming, and where to buy (www.oemvalue.com).
my one complaint is that the system won't play MP3s. is there any way to modify it to play MP3s on a cd? (ideally, it'd have a hard drive to save the songs on this toyota system, as opposed to another manufacturer's system)
yeah i know there's a way to hook up an ipod (which i'm still a bit sketchy on, but i read it's possible), but if there's a way to get it to play mp3 cds that'd be perfect. maybe toyota plans on adding this feature on upcoming new nav systems?
