The Basic Runner Build - Keeping it stupid simple!

***Since the post below, my build has radically gone off the rails. Some say I am the most back and forth person on the planet, they may be correct. Updates below to set up as well as future plans.

When you were a kid, or even now as an adult, you heard the phrase KISS - Keep it simple stupid! As I have grown up in life I have found this to be remarkably true.

This is my Basic Runner Build. Trying to find a perfect combo of off road and daily driver for my 2015 4runner with over 100k on the clock!

I have had the truck from day one and mile 1, it has been stock, built and back to stock again! Sometimes there is no substitute for experience to show you what you need and what you don't!

So here we go:

Very nice--clean look. I like your use of load bars with the RTT instead of having a big basket full of junk on the roof.

Ya, I am too. I have had several flat racks in the past, and for mounting a RTT, especially one that is going to take up the entire roof anyway, these are so much better!

Great looking truck, simple and to the point!

Could you share some more information on how you got the 30" light bar in the upper grill? I've seen 20" lights bars up there before, but never a 30".

Thank you!

Ya, no problem, I will take some pictures of it tomorrow when I am doing my load out for the Mojave road. The light bar is extreme LED its on the short mounts they give you and is hard mounted into the plastic of the grill.

I am not sure if this is the only light bar that will mount like this, but I will say its pretty tight.

They make Wildpeak AT3/W in a 265 C-load? I know they make a 275 c-rated but don't see a 265 option on their webpage.

Mojave Road Run

I got to go on a great trip, talk with some people about the build, I think I have decided on the next 2 mods, I need a winch and I want to get into a storage system! I think I might have to custom build one!

-Custom Storage System (hopefully build list coming)

New Front End

Doing something a little different! Trying that color matched look!

Clean build. Looks like you are doing mostly desert trails. Any plans for sliders just in case or do you feel you'll never use them?
