I keep seeing pictures of some 4runners that have extra functionality in this area. Mine only has a clock. What's the deal? Is it only on certain years?

Mine is a 2014 ... I know trail in 2010 to 2013 had the same dash info center

As OP said, It's 2010 and up I believe.
TEs show # of miles left on gas tank/average MPG (up and down arrows change this), clock, direction and outside temp.
2014 and up are in blue, 10-13 are in reddish orange.

Nope, 2016 TEP and it's just a blue clock now. I had originally though that was a Limited feature. Most or all of that data is on the MFD in the middle of the gauge cluster, so maybe it's just moved in the newer models?
Yeah it's just a clock on my 16 TEP. All the info is in the gauge cluster, I just wasn't sure if that was an option or something. Good to know.

This latest mod is worth every penny. It has change the characteristic of how the rig putts putts around. It has made it more responsive. It basically gave the rig power on demand...
the spring booster is just a electronic booster. it adds voltage to the current voltage from your gas pedal to the ecu. Making the ecu think your at 50% throttle instead of 35%throttle... By adding voltage it makes the car much more responsive.
I have driven close to 500miles on this thing before wanting to post the review. I have tried driving close to 80 freeway miles on the race setting. And driven the rest in the sport setting. With my current set of mods... The sport mod is definitely enough to make this heavy rig moving...
Before the sprint booster the Rig would struggle maintaining 76mph and in any incline would quickly drop the mph down to 68mph.
On the race mode 80 to 85mph was a breeze but the shifts are very direct and the torque converter stays locked longer. And with only 35% throttle input the rig is already at WOT.
While on sport mode; the rig is just a joy to drive around town. You can actually do jack rabbit starts at a red light with very little throttle input. Cruising on the freeway at 80mph is alot more easier and isnt as labor intensive as mashing the gas all the way down to get any kind of acceleration. In sport mode only a little more than quarter of throttle pedal will do ...
Unlike a few owners... I decided to run the switch with mine. I figure I want more of a dull throttle pedal when wheeling. So Off will only be reserved for wheeling...
Over all this is one of the mods Ive very very pleased I purchased.
ps. I mounted my module away from the heater pipes right next to the gas pedal.
pps. I'm no longer looking at 4.88 final drive ... I think with the spring booster and 4.56 final drive would make this rig have enough get up and go ...

[MENTION=116156]TheWraith[/MENTION] can you take the extra disk that came with the Mob Armor mount and stick the magnetic phone mount to the side of the steel disk with the VHB tape and see how strong the pull is? As I commented in the other thread, I am thinking of putting the steel disk behind that trim piece where you placed it and want to know how much the layer of VHB reduces the pull force (stregth of hold).

It's pretty strong. The magnet is on the mount itself. The steel disk is just that ... Doesn't matter which side you stick it on. The tape side is still bites pretty hard. Worst case scenario you can but a 2" earth magnetic to stick on the other side of the trim. I plan on doing the same thing as you.... soon when I get another day off...
