Day 14 waiting for my knockoff Pro grill from cartrimhome, losing hope fast. Tracking hasn’t been updated since march 28th. Definitely won’t be recommending this place. Granted, I ordered through the main website which I definitely should not have, but didn’t see the link provided on this thread until after the fact.

Shoot me a DM with your order number. I’ve never seen an instance where CarTrim didn’t ship the next US business day after I’ve reached out to them. I put my money on the grill sitting in customs, which CarTrim has zero control over.

I’ll probably just install as is. The SEM will likely fade too. It may be worth it to paint if it fades significantly slower but I don’t have any experience with trim paint.

It’s the same as any other rattle can paint job. Lightly sand and / or clean the surface first. Apply a few light coats waiting a little between each coat. Wait a couple hours for it to dry and install. I was debating on whether or not to paint too but just decided I’m going to paint. Very simple and won’t add much time and if it does fade it will be over a much longer period. Last thing I want is to have to paint it after it’s been installed with the letters. Taping off the letters would be a pain.
Don't give up hope quite yet. Mine took 15 days until I saw a tracking update from USPS and then it arrived at my house 2 days later. Mine got caught up in customs in Chicago.

I painted mine with SEM tonight and it looks nicer than before painting.
Since I have commitment issues I might wrap the bar on my grill with some extra vinyl I have laying around before sticking the new cover on. This way I can cleanly get the 3M adhesive off if I ever want to revert back to the logo.

Handful of Grills Cleared Customs
I PMed a few of you who had reached out for a status on your grills that were ordered in late March but didn't have any updated tracking since that time.
As I suspected, they were sitting in customs - based on tracking updates I looked up today, they were. Looks like a few of you will be getting your goodies today.
For those on the fence about ordering due to shipping times, it looks like its taking between 7 and 17 days to get the grills. Each grill is shipped the next business day, but customs is the bottleneck. I don't want CarTrim getting the blame for something entirely outside their control.

If you ordered a grill in the last week with the LEDs, they have been on backorder. They hope to start shipping those grills starting tomorrow (Thursday in the US). I recommend replying to your order confirmation email requesting an update if you don't get any tracking information by EOD tomorrow.
I made my POC very aware that this is a poor customer experience - they need to make it clear that they're out of stock on the website OR make you aware when you order. They are following up on that.

I nearly screwed up the letters last night trying to apply them.
Barely sticking them on in the hopes of making them straight once they were all laid out didn't work. With them just barely touching they stuck really well and the adhesive started to come off as i was trying to restick them straight. Also, make sure the Os are correct. If you swap them with each other or have them upside down and then try to line up the pegs they will be way off and crowding into the Ts.

my order shipped out quickly (ordered on 4/3 china time 4/2 here) ...but them damn customs people. Patiently waiting for my order
