Toyota knowing how many china made ones are being made now this would be a good possibility too.
Mine has been on now for about 2.5 months and still looks great. One thing I would suggest is upgrading the double stick tape. During my wash last weekend I noticed the cover moved a little toward the bottom edges. Pushing on it, I could see some of the tape had come undone. The piece was still secure and not going anywhere, but I tend to be a bit OCD with a new vehicle.
Ordered some 3M VHB CV45f which is used to secure panels and signs on vehicles such as firetrucks (swirled aluminum), etc. Could only find 1" wide x 36 ft for a decent price and "rolled" with it.
Pulled it apart today and I believe only the upper strip was still holding still. The tape was still on the bumper, but not the grille cover. Reprepped the bumper and cover in the same fashion I did before with a cleaning via white vinegar and then when dry I used multi passes of denatured alcohol.
I am in Florida, so the sun and heat could attribute to the tape performance. We shall see how the 3M stuff does over time.

Yeah, I love 3m VHB and have used it in many apps. The vehicle specific version should have no problems, but just thought I'd throw it out there. On mine, the supplied tape let go on the cover side and was still stuck well to the bumper.
Denatured alcohol should work well for removing just about anything on the paint surface.

I really regret waiting so long to install this. I degreased it, hit it with a couple coats of adhesion promotor, then a couple coats of SEM Trim Black. Aligned the letters to the best of my ability, then stuck her on. The gaps aren't bothersome to me at all, especially when you realize that the Trail valences also have a bit of a gap on either said. Originally I was also going to hit the valances, hood scoop and fender flares with the Trim Black as well, but after doing my lift I'm a little modded-out so I'll probably knock that stuff out next month.

Glad you like it. It’s such a cheap and easy mod. Wish all the 4R came from the port like this but then they couldn’t charge ridiculous amounts of money for the Pro.

Mine arrived in 5 days, but I wasn't home to sign for it so I picked it up on the 6th day.
Pretty fast shipping from china.
I prepped it by scuffing it with a gray scuff pad soaked in soapy water. Dried it off, hit it with a tac rag, then painted it with SEM plastic trim paint. It matches the color and texture of all the other black plastic on the truck.
The hardest part of the entire thing was aligning the two letter O's in the word TOYOTA. Both of the O's seem slightly taller than the rest of the letters, so using blue painters tape to keep everything level means the O's would be taller than the rest of the letter on the top, but flush across the bottom.
That is how that sat with the pegs aligned properly in the dents.
I ended up trimming off the pegs, and splitting the difference so they sit centered height wise compared to the rest of the letters.
Also, if you care...use the VHB tape on the back of the letters, not the cheap ass foam double sided sticky tape they supply on the letters.

I just received mine and have yet to unbox it. However, can someone point me to a video or instructions on how to connect the LEDs? I apologize if it somewhere in this thread, but over 50 pages is lot to look through! Also, I read previously in this thread that you can test the LEDs before installing by touching the harness wires to the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Before I do that, I would like to confirm that it won't end up in a puff of smoke! Thanks for any advice you can give.

I hit my rear hatch and the front Toyota letters with some matte black rattle can. No issues at all.
