Mixed driving on my well maintained v6.......
wow man...the computer on my V8 usually reads 17.8-18.6
EDIT: just thought i should point out, i reset it on every fill up. and the numbers i gave above are where it usually falls when i fill up again

Keep in mind though mine is lifted pretty high with bigger tires and I drive primarily city. With some highway.
i have an 03' sport edition v6 4x2. I get city 20-21 and highway (miami-jacksonville) 22-23 at 70mph. Miles at 149000. Love my truck!

My MPG history
OP: I don't have any suggestions as to why your MPGs are so low, but like you I log my gas purchases in an app. Here is my fuel usage history. I should mention that I towed a camper from Massachusetts to Florida, which is why the lowest MPG I recorded was 12.7 MPG. Aside from that trip, my MPG is usually in the 17 MPG range, +/- one or two.
My driving style is a bit bipolar. I accelerate quickly, but I otherwise drive with efficiency in mind. I'm at peace with it.

Cmon guys give the guy a break. He's got a problem. The answer isn't to get another car.. the answer is to get his gas mileage back to normal. Why would you ban him for that? It's not like he's posting porn and talking crap about your mom. He's asking a totally related and on-topic problem.
2004TR4-SR5- Best bet is the 02 sensor, and plugs as well. I removed my HCF and put a K&N drop in and my gas mileage went from 13 to 16. I've only had one tank since, but I will let you know what it is after.

OP, I feel for you. I'm also on the same boat, tried everything you did & then some. Any updates on your issue?
Pic of my trip computer after a fill up ( no top off, never ).
310 on a tank isn't bad, I'll get 280 a tank in mine.....but that's with winter gas and I'm on 33's.

zstampe: winter gas or not I've had the same problem for about a year to no avail so that really crosses out the winter gas mixture as an issue. I would however really like to try ethanol free gas just to experiment but nothing in my area. I'm running 265/70s which may or may not affect my MPGs, mechanic says yes it def would; I guess but I swear I had the MPG problem before I switched for bigger tires ( was just slightly bigger!!)
I also have a thread on this (to which you have replied). Someone suggested topping the tank off which makes sense since the autoshut off varies from pump to pump so topping it off would be a control factor. Also need to buy a second set of tires (stock size) to totally bring everything back to stock (CAI has been off for a while).
*sigh* what happened to the good old days of seeing 380-410 on the range comp? My driving habits and everything else (auto shut off at the pump) were the same. Why such a drastic difference now? Ethanol conspiracy? I'd really like to see if there's a correlation between our MPG problems & when my local area stations switched over to using ethanol. If only I could get that data.

I have the same issue, well maintained 2006 sr5 V6 with about 64,000 miles. the mods I have are 265/70/17 c load duratracs, all pro spacers, daystar budget lift, HFC delete. I USE to get 19-22 mpg when i was bone stock(with the hfc delete), after all these upgrades I see 15-16 mgs on my trip comp regularly. Take into consideration, bigger tires affect the speedo, but come on.. almost a year later and 4 mpgs less all the time. I believe its an issue with all the crap they are doing to the tri state area gas period!!!!

Yeah try the ethanol free stuff, I don't remember if you seafoamed the truck or not?

Ethanol free in tri state area NYC is probably impossible... just gonna learn to live with it I guess

CNJ: What do you for the range on the display? As for MPGs I don't use the display, only do it the old fashion hand calc way.
If it really is the tri state area gas and nothing is wrong with my truck then hallelujah! I'm ready to move onto a daystar kit and all pro spacers! Maybe I'll do that and go back to regular 265/65/17 tires. Sure it'll look funny lifted and wider stanced but it'll get better MPGs! ROFL!

the past few fillups put it at 280 miles! But this morning, after reading this and in need of a full tank of gas, I went premium and it displayed 330 miles. MPG's also increased to about 19.. Originally I did premium just to run a tank of premium through it since I never have before. But if the MPG's stay elevated I may just keep using premium.

money has been a little tight due to job change and now its christmas.....still haven't done the O2's yet but i will and when i do will post.....in the mean time..ive been doing a ton of research on O2 sensors and sh!t and putting my OBDII scanner on my truck to give me live readings of my sensors at idle, driving, and at 2500 RPMs...at 2500 you're moving a solid bit of exhaust so thats the best way to determine if the O2's are ok....believe it or not....an O2 sensor can be faulty..not bad...but faulty and not send a code..as well as a MAF and those two sensors are what can hurt an engine's performance.
a normal O2 sensor is supposed to fluctuate between .01 (lean) and .09 (rich)..in volts...and my O2's aren't exactly doing that....imagine a heartbeat how that graph goes up and down, up and down....well thats what a graph for an NORMAL O2 sensor should look like...just not the break in-between the beats...constant up and down.
All that being said.....updates hopefully coming soon....i might just replace the MAF and two engine O2 sensors

When i first bought my 4runner, I was getting 20-21mpg, now I'm getting 17-18mpg. I used to wonder why, but in the end, I used to live in a flat area, now I drive hills everyday. My 4runner is paid off, and I love it. I could by a more economical car, but I'm genuinely happy right now, and the 1000 I paid every month can go towards an ass ton of gas right now.
