The LFD Off Road Thread

I'd be interested, price difference? I ordered a 7/8 steel rack on July 3rd.

$30 more per crossbar raw, $50 more with powder coat. Haven't priced out what the difference would be on complete racks, as those do get some discount over single crossbars.

We're working on packing up 7/8 orders from that week right now. Probably would set you back another week to two weeks, but let me know if you want to do that. We can chat via PM if you want.

"Out for Delivery"

yeah buddy...

edit:

Waiting for me when I got home, these things are rock solid. You guys do one helluva packing job as well. Thanks LFD!

(sorry, no pics, file upload failing. Shocker)

This transfer case skid is an amazing piece of work!!!

really digging the roof rack rails versatility. i designed a bracket had a local shop fab them up for my treds. its really nice that i can actually use the roof rack now with the LFD rails. using hammer head nuts makes taking stuff on and off a breeze.

That is brilliant! I haven't seen any that are narrow enough to fit through the slots (but haven't looked for them obviously). You know off hand what size you are using?

My truck is currently in adventure mode with hi-lift, jerry can and shovel mounted up there, but I don't want to leave them up all the time, easy removal and replacement will be great!

M8 hammer heads

They the same size as the ones provided to hold the rail to the roof rack.

I also got m8 bolts that have a 5mm allen head so its all yhe same size as the ones lfd gives you.

Doh! That's a good idea.

I gotta say, I honestly have not thought of trying that, and we have thousands of those things laying around in stock. I know what I'm trying first thing tomorrow. Forest through the trees moment.

I know how I am mounting my next set of lights... :D

Lol i honestly thought the rails were desinged for them considering how perfect they fit. I just copied the hardware that you guys sent to attach it to the oem rack.

No idea why, but it never crossed my mind. I've been using standard nuts to bolt on accessories since day one.

Man I feel kinda silly now. They really do fit perfectly. Just tried a few things and that's so much easier.

New feature! Use T nuts to make mounting things easier! lol.

Just got my set of 4 stainless steel lfd crossbars. These things look great and the packaging is awesome! Will rattlecan and install them this weekend

So pleased with this roof rack!! Attention to detail is amazing! Packaging was solid, no damage, powder coat has no imperfections, extra hardware included.

All pieces fit together nicely, no rough spots or misalignment. I do regret not adding the LFD decal prior to install but will do that today.

Ordered July 3rd delivered August 6th. So happy to support a local NC company. If you’re in the market for a rack I highly recommend LFD. Anticipate I’ll add skids in the near future!

Thank you!!
