The milkshake syndrome

Most report it taking 5+ gallons to flush at first, then you'll likely need to do regular changes to get the rest out over time (like once a week drain and fills).

I'd probably go out and get the trans through all gears (including reverse) after every couple rounds of 2-quart drains to get all the passages clear.

This is not a cheap fix, even if you save the transmission. For now, use the cheapest Dex-III or better fluid you can find.

I remember draining the coolant on mine for the first time and it was brownish looking. It was just old and dirty coolant...... I hope it was.
