The Most AMAZING 4X4 Trip Ever!!! PIC AND VIDEO HEAVY

well, then you won't mind if I keep telling you stuff like that. reading ric's story, I wouldn't want to go wheeling with you either. Your cousing seems like a straight up ******* though. Not interested in meeting him, thanks for the offer though.
Just chill out and get a lot more friendly, you wont have problems.

THIS THREAD IS UGLY

Two guys have a beef...one is obviously down.

I am starting to figure out that this forum is full of the kind of people that kick the guy thats down. Many others of you like to stand in the big circle around the fight and cheer.

Well...I am the big M.F'er that grabs you all buy the collars and pulls the dog fight apart. Maybe I will take so lumps of my own in doing so, but I am tough, its okay.

This issue is obviously between Matt and Ric and the reputation of Co4Lo...no one else. Matt embarassed Ric and his crew...and now Ric has publically embarrased Matt. I hope the following posts are in regard to a great day of wheeling and some cool photos. Leave the beef between the two...my money is on it all getting worked out...WITHOUT THE HELP OF THIS FORUM. Maybe I am wrong, but then that will be the gauge of Ric and Co4Lo's ability to be understanding of human flaws and be accepting and forgiving toward them...

You know, we are all cocky and proud in some way, and if you are not, then you are probably such a push-over that your boring to be around. So many cocky people in the world, without an ounce of humility. Matt has both, and thats okay in my eyes. His humility is present in many posts that I bet few of you wouldn't dare try...your too perfect and right all the time. I am pretty damn proudful of my humility (hmmm, oxymoron anyone), but I still don't think I could be as open and honest about myself to a forum full of strangers...that takes "class." in my book.

We all have our less than respectable moments in life...some of us just aren't capable of admitting it...

Matt, I wasn't there, but I will wheel with you again. Sounds like you got a bit carried away, but it also sounds like you are willing to reflect on those actions and how they affect others. That will make you a better person on the next trip. I hope, because while I make the analogy above, and its true, I don't want to have to pull the hillbillies off of you...or you them...

Matt, I think you know the group you owe an apology to, and not many people on this thread are in that group.

:awais: GIVE IT A REST!!!!

Word. Being a kid is a lot more a mindset than a magical age. I have a 33 year-old friend that is way more of a kid than I am at 22. I had a kid young (20) and was forced to grow up and learn how to work hard for what I have and now I have a hard time relating to people such as yourself, and an easier time relating to people in their 30's who have put in time and learned what it takes to support a family and work for everything. The sooner you realize, the better off you will be.
This is very true.

However, If I claim that I never act childish, immature or irresponsible every so often...well...that's just what a "kid" would do, and I would have defined myself by my own denial.

I really don't want to get into this but all I am going to say is that I firmly agree with CSL. We all have our cocky, proud moments every now and again, and some more then others, but if you are so arrogant you are actually really pissing people off and embarrassing others, it's time to tone it down. :biggrin2:

reading two threads..atleast this kid knows how to apologize and admits his mistakes

Matt......self control...:) thats it..

Sounds like it was a good trip. Nice pics! Wish I could have gone. Hopefully we can get another event set up with this kind of turn-out arranged soon!!!

Awesome post, great timing!

I wish I hadn't missed out on Sat. either. What CoFlyFisher...I wasn't enough of a group for you on Sun. LOL! I went up alone, but I think for a few folks it was God's will. (see my solo trip thread in the Gallery).

Consider that this turnout was in WINTER...I don't think there will be any problems come summer...ahhh summer...I can feel the campfire already...

This is not just with me and Matt, but everyone that was on the run had an issue with him, they just are not registered here, so Im the only here, thats saying anything.
I wasnt trying to embarass him or anyone for that matter, he came one here trying to make himself look good, and flat out lieing, and I called him on it, cause it directly involes me, I am NOT about showing anyone up, degrading people, or making fun of people I dont know, and that exactly what he did, no one else. He even admitted that hes "Im not just cocky but I am very arrogant, I have way to much pride and I am quite the show-off"

That type of attitude not only gets rigs broken but can get people hurt, and creates of NEGITIVE image of not only the offroader but of the Toyota community.

And YES, we (Co4Lo) do understand that people have "flaws" but when a person is told, NOT to do things like drive off trail, doing donuts at the trailhead, throwing rocks on other people rigs, BUT they chose to keep doing it, then we do not want them around..

we dont want that "I dont care attitude" this whole tread is a blackeye for the whole community.

I'll keep telling myself someday...in a few months I will be back out in CO and hope to hit up some trails (preferably with some of you guys since I'm a trail rookie). Until then I will have to accept these threads just toying with me. :)

thats the nice thing about Colorado, unlimited amount of trails, and people out wheeling them. someone somewhere is on a trail EVERY weekend, sooo many clubs out here, yotas, jeeps, fords, chevys, rang rovers, etc., most are pretty cool :bigok:

oh and DONT worry about being a rookie, we all are rookies, some just hide it better :biggrin2: we had a the Rubi (jeep) thats a rookie, and Luis was his first run, both did AWESOME.

I bet! I'm so jealous... One of these days I'm gonna live out there I hope.

Ric, your comments are justified, and are not out of line. They are your feelings and your experience...a bummer one it sounds like... Yes...I got rocks dinged off my rig last time too from the doughnuts...but then I saw the big smile on Matt, and I blew it off. Maybe I should have said something then, as you have now.

In rereading this thread, I may have posted my comment to soon (about the circle of people cheering the fight)...I just quickly remembered the last "attack Matt" thread that almost had me moving on as well as him. Maybe I spoke to soon, but maybe it will keep the thread from becoming like the last one.

Thanks, i was waiting for someone to say that about ME....
I forgot...you are the one exception! HA!

Okay, I will not say anything more on this topic, it's not my issue either... My condolences to all involved.

I keep telling myself that too, hopefully it happens at some point. CO seems like an awesome place to live.

It was deffinitely not my place to say anything about you Matt on this thread, I apologize. I do respect the fact that you admited your faults.

The ONLY thing I apologize for is cluttering a thread (although I only posted once) with things not on topic. Sorry, but how many times do you get to make an ass out of yourself and then apologize and try to make everything alright?

Nearly every thread that this KID starts ends up being an argument or debate, and every time its because of misinformation or arrogance on his part. I know nothing about Matt other than what I read online and hopefully he is a much better person than he comes across as. When you act like that on the trail you may reflect a lot of people that you don't realize. Maybe those suburban guys have a bad taste in their mouth about anyone who wheels Toyotas now. Right, wrong, or indifferent it is human nature.

These threads turn into an "attack matt" thread because he brings it on himself. Before I started posting on here a did a lot of reading and trying to gain information so that I didn't sound like I knew nothing and pretended too. I do my best not to spread misinformation although I'm sure it happens by mistake sometimes. But when every single thread you start contains lies, misinformation, or stereotyping (ricers.. hillbillies...) you tend to lose your credibility, and it affects us all because we have to deal with it everytime we come to the boards.

Well at this point my only argument is with ric. When we were up at Yankee, I did one doughnut and you told me I was hitting your rigs with rocks and I said, ok Im sorry Ill be more careful. Then when we got to the next open area I started doing doughnuts but far away from you guys and the second my runner got angled at your rigs I stopped. And yes I addmit, I got carried away decided to be a show off but everyone makes mistakes but at least I recognize them and learn from then. And someone else must have said "thats how toyotas do it" cause I said ablolutely no such thing. I may be a show off must I do not say disrespectful thing to complete strangers. I said absolutely nothing and as I passed that 1 guy he said "ya but he's only got $2000 in his rig" in a very rude tone, and all I said was "I have $0 in mine" not being rude, just making a point. I have never driven off the trail in my entire life and Ive been wheeling for 6 years now. As a matter of fact I buddied up with 2 guys in an old blazer and a 4runner up at chinamans gulch a year ago cause I was up there by myself. I have much respect for and 4wheeler. And especially over the last 4 years, I have had no one to wheel with so I have gone by myself and every time I depend on someone being up there that I can buddy up with, no matter what kind of rig they have. To tell you the truth ric, I dont want to go wheeling with you anymore if you're just gonna blow everything out of poportion.
I did not say "that's how toyota does it", when you told me not to do doughnuts around your rigs, I stopped and made sure to do it far away from your rigs, I have never gone off the trail, EVER, and I have never been disrespectful to a complete stranger unless they were disrespectful to me first. But if thats the way you feel, I'll find someone else to wheel with

ok that would be best.
doing donuts in the staging area, is bad news, no matter how you look at it. how would you feel if one of Glen`s (CSL) kids, was hit by a rock, thrown from you doing donuts ???????????????
There was a guy a few years ago, with a very nice tacoma,
the guy put it into 2WD, locked the rear, and started doing donuts, needless to say, he rolled it, had to leave his nice new rig up on Yankee Hill, one day you will understand.
its things like that, that you do think about your actions or comments.
Yes both Glen and Mat (the jeep guy) said that you told the suburban guy "thats how toyotas do it" both told me that.
the point is, I asked you NOT to do it, you did it anyway, you had something to prove, and that looks bad for everyone, you not getting it.
trying to "show someone up" is
never mind, you wont understand.
Im done with this, Ive made my/our (Co4Lo`s) point, you try to defend your actions, you are who you are, I am who I am, Co4Lo is what we are.
I wish you luck.

Im not deffending anything. I pointing out that you are overexagerating and you believe to people that "heard someone say that" over the person that supposedly said it. Whatever I dont even care, Ill find someone else to wheel with. I've been wheeling for 6 years by myself with no problems. I enjoyed company but oh well. I find it funny that you call me a kid and tell me Im so immature when I've have already addmitted I was wrong and appologized and you keep pushing the issue. Do you want me to go find those rednecks and appologize to them too? Will that finally put a smile on your face? I've addmitted Im cocky and show off, and I've appologized for it. You're unforgiving and you dont speak up about something that bothering you until its too late.
