Yeah, my wife, parents, and some friends do not like the look of it...but, at least, i can say that it is one of the original tissue box on wheels!

Well, like what ric said above, my intention when i bought it new in 2004 was to use it to it's potential. So, i made a few modifications to make it more trail worthy, such as getting 16" rims (instead of 18" factory rims) and getting rock sliders. I wanted something that i can use on the trails, but obviously, i was not going to cross the Rubicon trail with it. Thus, i am not planning to lift it nor put on 35" tires. It must also be decent on-road for daily driving.
I used to take it off-road a lot before my son (and soon, my daughter) was born. However, since then, it is mainly in my garage collecting dust. As my signature says, my daily driver is my Sienna. I drive the G500 2-3 times a week just to get the oil moving around.
The G-wagen has the opposite problem to a Wrangler. The original parts are built to last, but the aftermarket and the parts replacement costs just plain suck! It is prohibitively expensive to off-road with it. But, i can proudly say that for the first 55,000 miles, i took my G off-road and tested it well...i can always say that even if i never take it off-road again.
