In the next few weeks, I will be redoing alot of the wiring, adding some new things, and hopefully wheeling it. It needs a few immediate things to make it road worthy, including a license plate, but I will keep everything as up to date on here as I can.

When I first got it, the tie rod ends were shot on it. We couldn't tell what they were off of, but turns out they were from an fj80. Took damn near 4 hours to get the little Commie bastards off but we eventually did.

After driving to 5 different parts stores, with 4 different parts numbers, the great people at Oreilly's distribution warehouse had a set.

After the last wheeling trip, the shock mount broke off as well. My buddy Nick helped me weld it back on and we got the Bilstein tucked back in there nice and neat

Next up is to hardwire the rear window switch into the dash and install the CB from my old truck

Really want to get out and wheel it before I start making a want/need list, but in the mean time, air is something everyone needs. Picked this 10lb tank up from a friend who went to on board air today. No more bumming a compressor off people!

We have our club ride the last weekend, and i'm trying to save money. Going to Vegas in March.

Technically, it's road worthy. Cruises at 50-55 just fine. Anything below that it starts getting a little wobbly. I am going to the shop on Friday to try and get the tires balanced and see if that helps smooth things out.

Got the CB wired up today, just waiting on the antenna to get here on Monday before I can get it tuned and dialed in.

Finally got some COMM in the truck. Went with my old CB which is amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase one in the near future. It's the Uniden Bearcat 980 SSB (Single Side Band). It is a great piece of equipment, and has a built in SWR meter that is pretty accurate. Right now im measuring a 1.00 just from a simple driveway tune.

As for everything else, Amazon came to the rescue. With the height of the truck, and where the PO built in the CB mount, I went with a Firestik II 2 ft. antenna. This gets me roughly a foot above the truck with the top on. We'll see what kind of SWR I get when the top is removed, or if it even changes things at all.

My biggest problem with my CB last time was hearing people while wheeling. This time I fixed that issue with a RoadPro RPSP-15 Universal CB Extention Speaker and Swivel Bracket. I mounted it directly to the center console (which I will be replacing soon anyways) and fired it straight up. It is in a good location, loud, and still out of the way of things.

Another thing to help with the hearing of people was getting a good coax. I went again to RoadPro and got their RP-8x18 18' cable. With a good ground to the frame, this helps me draw that 1.00 that I was searching for.

Got the new seats from a 2007 Scion tC installed.

I was able to get 1 bolt hole to line up. Had to drill out the others three and do some tweaking on the frame sliders to get them to fit, but they fit!

And so much more comfortable than the broken Tacoma seats that were in there.

Also got new plugs and wires. Found out only 4 of the 6 wires were really connected. 2 came out stripped and in crumbles. And I think it was time for plugs...

Now to quit spending money and to get out and wheel it.

with as age checked as those swampers are they might bleed air.
I ended up selling my 10 lb CO2 tank because it was so expensive to refill around my house. you might consider as compressor as a back up, depending on how far you air down I was airing up about 10 tires per bottle with 35's
